There are three bedrooms in my house, two upstairs and one downstairs. Currently my sister and I sleep upstairs, her room is pretty small so I wasnt concerned with that, but it is directly next to mine (where my parents want the baby to go) There is a half bath upstairs but no bath/shower. My biggest issue with my room is it has no heat and the windows arent very good at keeping heat in. I also have a huge calofornia king that would have to be moved and probably thrown out because we have no other place for it. It would be such a pain to move it and besides, my sister is 9 and has enough issues sleeping (we're lucky to get her to bed by 9. more often its 10 or 11) so she really doesnt have a lot of room to be woken up every few hours.
My parents room downstairs has heat and a full bathroom attached to it(my thought there is what if she makes a big mess of herself and needs to be washed down). There would be no pain in the ass moving the huge bed out, no need for a space heater (and possibly humidifier when the space heater dries the hell out of the room). Nothing would have to be lugged up a narrow staircase and no one would have to be woken up with me and the baby. Also, I wouldnt have to worry about waking anyone up if I need to bottle feed or get hungry myself.
So far the best reasoning why they shouldnt switch rooms is because they would have to move their cloths. I told them dont, leave your dressers and take a few outfits so you have what you need in the morning, but we all have to go through the downstairs bedroom anyway because thats where the main bathroom is, so thats not even a new thing.
I just feel like i'm going to have to do all this work getting everything upstairs and then we're going to realize its a horrible idea and have to move it all around again. I know my sister, even if the baby isn't bothering her she will use it as an excuse to not go to sleep. and on the weekends she would be bothering us constantly while she is suppose to be going to sleep.
