Charlie or Charley? His name is not going to be Charles, just Charlie/Charley,
middle name is John
My husband likes Charley, I never even considered it, always figured Charlie.....

I agree! Since Charlie is sometimes used as a girl's name... i think a different spelling (like Charley/Charlee) would seem like an attempt to make it more girly....

Agree Charley is the way I assume the girls version would be spelt (which is weird as normally it's the boys version of names that's spelt with the Y like Terry/Terri)?
