Why not get u all sick of me moaning quickly lol

I Have spd... I had it with my second baby thought it was soooo bad pmsl it was nothing! lol

this time it started at about 2wpo... in fairness when ever i got my period or did too much between pregnancys it reared its head not too bad just the ache

by about 8 weeks pregnant agony (well i say agony about as bad as i was with dd2)! went gp given codine, refered physio which is crap lol my phsysios advice is pelvic floor exersizes, a support belt too big for me because my belly will grow and a crutch (I was given two but i was clumsy with them... but when i got home with my 1... i realised it was too high for me)

Now its rediculous... my hips lock if i lay on my back, (I actually got stuck on my back this afternoon the pain was so intense i couldnt move hubby couldn't hear me as he was with the kids while i had a nap, im crying out in pain crying shouting but he couldnt hear, i eventually forced myself to turn onto my side which left me in so much pain where i had been in pain for so long)
the actual pelvis now im in agony constantly codine doesnt help might as well throw some smarties down my throat

if my bladders full (common thing being pregnant) or if babys laid in a certian way the extra pressure leaves me unable to take 2 steps without crying

when the mw measured the baby she touched the pelvis and i screamed out, I didnt mean to it just hurt SO much i couldnt help it... she was shocked actually and said "oh that was with me JUST touching it, i didnt push down or anything"

I just need some help/advice/mirical (esp the mirical if anyone has any to spare) its now at the point where people say well it will get better u only have 8 weeks to go i feel like breaking there leg and saying walk on that for 8 weeks

:hugs: I didn't want to read and run.

I had severe SPD with my dd 5 years ago and i have to say that there is no miracle i'm afraid. I had codeine, crutches, a support belt and towards the end had to inject myself with clexane (blood thinners) as i was so immobile i was at risk of a blood clot. I saw a physio once and that didnt help at all as i was only diagnosed with SPD at 30 weeks pregnant and was already suffering symptoms too severe to do any of the exercises!!

I was told up until 30 weeks that it was "normal pregnancy pains, uterus stretching etc..." well as you are going through the same thing you will know that its far from normal to be in so much pain that you are unable to get out of bed without assistance.

I, like you have suffered around AF ever since and still find bending difficult at times and the only advice i can offer is to tell you what i went through;

Labor: I had the epidural to help with the pain, i would never have it again simply because it didnt work, it was topped up several times and i still felt everything!!! Also with the epidural, once its in you are confined to the bed, you cannot move about and find a comfy position, your kind of stuck then!! Saying that, if the epidural works for you it can take most of the pain away (so i'm told lol) i think thats a personal choice based on your own experience this is just my opinion.
Delivery: They tell you if you have SPd do not deliver on your back, try your side or all fours as a comfier position that doesnt open your pelvis as far. Having the epidural meant i had no choice but to deliver on my back and due to inexperienced mw's who pushed my legs up to my chest even though my notes said never to do this i believe thats what caused the damage to my pelvis and this is why i still suffer to this day. Dont be afraid to tell them what you want and if they are hurting you, remind them of your pain free gap and ask them not to exceed this, i wish i had spoken up!!

All i can say is i know what your going through and your so brave to go for another baby after suffering SPD before, i am ttc baby no2 at the moment and i'm terrified!
Also, as i was so severe i was given a date for induction (2days after her due date) so i didnt go too far over as i was in agony. I asked for a c-section but as i was so immobile the risk for blood clots was too high so they wouldn't do it but these choices are yours, i had to beg for an induction date but i was in so much pain they could hardly say no! Gladly she came all by herself the day before her due date, next time i am having a planned c-section!

Try to rest as much as you can and maybe find out your options ie; c-section or induction if thats what you want.

Look after yourself it will all be worth it when your LO arrives xx
