White vinegar

I've heard this can be used on nappies to freshen and strip detergant.
However, at least one of my nappies, I think the BB off the top of my head, says on the label no vinegar.
Does it work and is it safe to use on the nappies? My stash mostly consists of ittis, issys, mini lala and bambootys.
Does this count as a strip wash and do you still have to do all the rinses? (trying to cut corners as my washing machine is rubbish) :)

I think the vinegar can affect the PUL so maybe just do it with the inserts?

Ahh ok, thanks. As you can see I'm pretty clueless...

I could be talking complete rubbish!

Yea vinegar can rot the pul and elastic which is why manufacturers advise not too use it. I do use it every now and again but since i've changed to soap nuts i haven't bothered, i find them and a touch of tea tree oil keeps them smelling fine, had a lot less problems with my bumgenius since we started that. A strip wash you need to take your nappies right down, the best way i've found to do it is a rinse cycle, then a normal wash with SNs, then another rinse and this appears to work well so far.
