Hi, my Dh and I are TTC our first, I have just come off the pill after 10 years and had my withdrawal bleed on 10th April, nothing since. I am ever so impatient and did a cheapy test on 7th may and got a BFN!

Sorry for the bfn. It can help if you start taking your basal body temperature to know what your body is doing. That sure helped me!

Hey Pinky, it may take your body some time to adjust, i have been on the pill since October and have only had af in jan and then light spotting in march. but then agin some people just go back to being normal once they finish the pill. but i wish you lots of luck!!!!

Thank you very much, its all very new and so much to take in, I thought I would just give it a go this month and start charting next month, that is if AF ever arrives! Can't even remember how long my cycles were before the pill!

i know how youre feeling! I stopped my bc pill end of march after being on it for around 11 years! After the intitial bleed, my first cycle was like 37 days until i got my next period...and i didn't remember anything about my cycles before the pill but i know they weren't that long! Waiting to see what happens with this one, I "should" be ovulating sometime this week if my cycle is evening out so we shall see....hang in there!

Hi there,

Just wanted to say I'm in the same boat too! I stopped my bc pill on March 18th after 15 years. Had two AF since.
I don't know about you but I'm so impatient. Every day feels like it's dragging at the moment and my tww seems to be going on forever!! My AF due on the 16th I think. So tempted to do a test tomorrow.
Is this way too early?? I have a whole bathroom cupboard full of tests!

Wierd. You go so much of your life hoping you don't fall pregnant when the timing wouldn't be right, yet when you look into it it's actually not that easy in the first place!!

I am terrribly terribly impatient about everything and this is another thing that I know I will fixate on, I am quite prepared for the wait to get preggers, I don't expect it to happen overnight but it is so annoying waiting to for my first proper cycle to end!

Tipsy33 - I am feeling you, I think I would test every day if I could! But from now on I am going to wait until my AF is late - I think I will drive myself and my DH crazy otherwise!

I know what you mean, that's why this site is so nice. Can share thoughts with other like minded people rather than taking about it incessantly with other half.
I'm sure I won't be so obsessed after a few more cycles.
Doesn't stop us hoping though hey?!!
