Who never has wasted bottles of formula?

Before Rebecca was weaned we used to throw away HUGE amounts of milk. She had silent reflux so would drink anywhere between 1 and 5 oz in a feed. Of course, if she only drank 1 oz you could guarantee she'd want more about 2 hrs and 1 min later (so we couldn't use the same bottle!)

We used to joke that we'd keep a note of the wasted milk and charge her when she's 18!!

It's much better now but we still throw away about 4oz per day I reckon.

Alexa will have anywhere between 1-5 ounces per bottle, so to be on the safe side I always make up 5 ounces. There is pretty much always at least an ounce left over! I HATE leaving her waiting whilst I prepare her milk so I'd rather waste some.

ETA: she suffers from reflux too, hence the fussy eating habit!

we always make an extra oz than what he takes and have from being born, i never let him finish a bottle cus i read some advice saying not to let them drink unless the teat is full as the air they suck can give them stomach ache, my LO gets stomach ache and throws up alot as it is so i dont want to make it worse, maybe im just paranoid lol, i never thought about how much we waste im only going to make him a 7oz bottle tonight, he normally has a 9oz bottle cus im so used to making them up but he only takes about 6oz now so im wasting loads!

We also make up an extra ounce from what she usually takes, so that if she's hungry it's there. She usually has 6 6 oz bottles a day, but drinks 5ish oz of that, she'll finish the odd bottle here and there.
