who will be asking guests to use hand sanitiser?

good points ladies, when i saw hand sanitiser after a cig and even after washing hands to get the smell of cigs off of their hands, if oh dad tries to hold him after a cig i wont be long telling him no, he annoys me anyway very controlling and domenering(sp?) even tried to tell us to call baby after oh n oh granddad, he was quickly told where to go i take no crap from him n he knows it :haha: hes just very over-bearing, n i cant stand it. im still gonna use it like op said for nappy changes and leave it out so people get the hint i dont care if it offends some people, my house, my baby, my rules lol!

I'm an ex smoker myself, (i gave up just b4 i found out i was pregnant) i used to smoke in my garage or outside as i dont like houses smelling of fags.
When my sister had my nephew, i made sure that if i did have a ciggy, (and did this up till i quit, he'll be 3 in 2 weeks) i would always be outside to get rid of most the smoke, but i wouldn't hold him for at least 15 mins (what they used to say the smoke stayed on your breathe etc for?) and i would make sure i washed my hands anyway. I personally wont be asking perople to use anti-bac hand sanitiser as like a few others have said, you need to let baby be around certain things to build up their immune system, they cant be wrapped in cotton wool. obviously if i change baby's nappy i'll use it, but thats just hygienic, but as a standard rule i can honestly say i have never personally met someone who is willing to hold a newborn baby with dirty hands or clothes, and if they try then its only a fair comment to ask them to stop what they're doing.
