Needs to be sent far far FAR away :grr: :pop:

Either that or my gorgeous lo needs to learn how to put it back in when it drops out :dohh: That flippen dummy drives me nuts & she only has it at night!

Oooh, how I'd love to get her off it!!

Rant over!!! :coffee:

I'm with u!!

I'm on day three of cold turkey without the dummy! It's never coming back!!! Day two wasn't great but today she seems to have almost forgotten about it!

I'm updating a thread called 'final straw' about it if ur interested & want to join us in the land of no more dummies!!!

Xx

We went cold turkey on the dummy about 1 month ago.
Best thing we ever did

Thanks ladies, what do you do instead? She is a golden sleeper until the dummy falls out, I put it in and she is straight back to sleep... But then when it falls out again... :dohh:

I'll have a look at your thread k4th!! Thanks :)

Sophie used to be a nightmare and wake up LOADS for the dummy, but the past 2-3 weeks since her 2nd tooths came through she's no- longer waking for the dummy.. She can put it in and out her mouth during the day (she only sucks it when tired) so i'm not sure if she's waking and finding it or she's just sleeping without it lol.

Can you get a glow in the dark one so she can find it? Either that or maybe take it away completely?

Oh my god, completely know where you're coming from Between 4-9 months LO would wake at least 40 times EVERY single night it was so ridiculous (yep sound mean but ARGH)

Anyway he learned how to put it in at 10 months (either that or he just doesn't bother much) he still up all night but the dummy issue isn't much of a problem. xx

Have you tried the MAM dummies, more expensive than others, but my LO is keeping it in a lot better than the other dummy we had

mam ones where the only brand that lyssa would keep in too, she keeps her dummy in most of the night now x

Thanks everyone, yup, she is using MAM dummies and we have the glow in the dark ones! I bought them in the hope she would see them and put it in, lol!! I leave 2 or 3 in her cot but nope, no joy!!

I'm glad other people are having the same problem, I'm not sure what I'll do about it, probably see how it goes in the next few weeks!!

we just took the dummy away and started ferberizing.
not everyone's cup of tea but it worked for us.
