Sorry, but I need abit of a moan!

For those of you that dont know, my partner had the reversal a year ago. After having 2 sperm samples done (which werent great) the next step is to check im ok. The doctor said I need to do two blood tests, cd2 and cd22.
CD2 fell on Easter bank holiday (just my luck!) after lots of fretting and pleading, I managed to get it done at the hospital. Now my CD2 also falls on this bank holiday!! I spoke to my doctor last week and she told me not to worry and that I could have it done at the doctors itself as long as I booked myself in, plus I could do it on Friday as it wouldnt be too much of a problem being a day or so early. 'Fantastic!' I thought - all week Ive been trying to get an appointment, and getting nowhere! I went into speak to the receptionist to explain and she was no help at all, she even told me they have stopped doing blood tests at the hospital now. My doctor isnt in this week so I couldnt ask help from her.
After lots more fretting about getting this blood test done, I called the hospital, who said it was no problem and the receptionist at my doctors had got it wrong.
Why does it have to be soooo difficult!! I feel like im going round in circles sometimes.
Anyway, im trying to be positive and at least I can have the tests I need doing.
Sorry girls, I just had to have a bit of a rant!

What a nightmare - don't even get me started! At least you're getting them done now and FX everything is ok with you!

I feel your frustration! My testing stage was quite fraught too. Blood tests rejected from lab, mis-booked appointments. The worst was my clamydia result. THe fertility nurse told me it was fine at my appointment with her, then a week later my doctor rang me at work and just blurted out I had had clamydia in past. It shocked me to the core. How hard can it be to get it right hey!

Just hang in there, it will all be over soon. Good luck with what they find xxx

i'm not sure if this any help but my clinic always says that the cd2 blood test can be done on cd2, 3 or 4 without affecting the results

xx

Well im already to get my 2nd blood test tomorrow after work, I finish an hour early on a Friday (bonus!) and the hospital isnt far from where I work so i should just get there in time. Managed to get a doctors appointment today for a swab test, which I have been asking for for the last two weeks! The doctor was abit of a knob, but a least its done now!
You would think they could make life easier, I dont see why they cant have at least one late evening appointments for those of us who cant get out of work that easy!!!

oh i know the feeling too well,i was attending the infertility clinic at my hospital in november,i had a smear done which got lost and had to done again..the bloods had to be done over 3 months and then i had to wait 2 months for a hycosy precedure, only got the good news that everything is ok the 1st week in april...5 months later!:dohh: i hated the waiting :hissy:
