Why check cervical position?

Just wondering, if cervical position is such a poor predictor of pregnancy why do people do it? Is there any evidence?

I admit, I check but just wondering. Mine was always medium-high and hard but lately has been very high and more soft and today, VERY soft.

Again, not a great predictor at all, but wondering if anyone has experience with CP or knows any evidence?

Unfortunately there is no way of telling by checking your cervix if you are pregnant or not..one month it can be one way and the next it can be another. A little farther along you can notice a difference if you keep track of your cervix. For me...i check my cervix for indication of ovulation.

This also goes for cm...it can be one way one month and the next it will be different. Tho when you are pregnant, you will sometimes notice a lot more cm then normal but just because someone doesnt have alot, doesnt mean they are not pregnant either =)
