Why did you decide to formula feed?

Ben didnt latch on well. Spent 3 days in hospital because he just wasnt getting the hang of it. Got home and expressed for 2 weeks and couldnt keep up with demand. Was a complete exausted wreck. Changed to FF at 11 days old and havent looked back. I can now enjoy my little man and I dont feel guilty about my decision one bit!

Lo had a severe tongue tie and couldn't latch. I waited 6 weeks for the NHS to do something about it but eventually had to pay to have it done privately. I expressed and combi fed whilst waiting to have the TT sorted but unfortunately he never took to the breast again after being on bottles for 6 weeks. I stopped expressing shortly after as expressing every 3 hours, topping up with formula, washing and sterilising the pump and bottles etc etc was just too exhausting (big hugs to anyone who has managed to do it though!) So he's been fully FF since 6 weeks. Still dealing with the guilt but LO is thriving!

I just didn't want to breastfeed.

before my daughters birth i was put on some antibiotics for s evere chest infection and fluid on my lung,this medication was safe for bfeeding as i stated that was my intent for her..i had to stay in hos due to 2 infections..1 being the chest and the other from my waters breaking more than 24 hrs before labour.i was then sent for an x-ray as my chest was worse after delivery and it was found to be alot worse,i had to consent to stronger meds which were not safe for bfeeding,so for my health i agreed.i was told to keep expressing then put her to the breast after i had recovered.i bf for 3 days after having her and then she had a week on formula..when i went to use the breast after i was off meds she never liked it hated it infact.I was sore,fed up and my baby was grumpy and not happy..so my decision stayed with formula..i wont look back and i feel very happy after my hard choice.
Maybe try combi feeding hun..and see if that may work better,but make sure its the best decision for you
