Why do I have a Double Belly??!!

I wouldnt class myself as a big girl im size 10 and didnt have a flat tummy before I was preggers but was'nt protruding either..

I'm 25 weeks and mananged to aquire a 'double belly' with a crease in the middle where my belly button is so i have tummy at the top and bottom?!\

It looks very weird especially when i sit down just looks like two rolls of fat...

Any ideas why this has happened & has anyone else got this??

ha ha ha, i'm a size 12, so ive a bit of podge here and there but wouldnt say i was over weight or anything, but since i was little ive always had a crease in my belly where my belly button is, and ive always hated it! and was sort of hoping that baby would push the crease out ha ha ha

I sometimes look like a mini version of this, and I'm sure its because I've got so much wind! By the end of the day sometimes my stomach is really swollen and is bigger than the muffin top at the bottom where the baby is. So I look a bit like half an egg timer (or a camel, as one person said!)

My GP also said your insides all get pushed upwards so maybe its that.

A few of us posted about having a similar shaped bump on the May babies thread.. or rather a B shaped bump so you are not alone!!

I then read a thread which showed how far your uterus grows during pregnancy and at 23/24 weeks it reaches your belly button. I wondered if my B shaped bump related to how high my uterus had moved?

I could be wrong but this seems logical!?

My bump seems fairly flat during the day, not flat, but rounded at the bottom then theres almost a straight line from my belli button to under my boobs. By the time ive sat down after eating dinner im full on B bump. I dont look pregnant, more like i ate all the pies! I can only assume it is to do with your stomach and other bits being pushed up, as other have said. Evenings are so damn uncomfortable after eating. Feel so crammed in and im still only 22 weeks. Dread to think whats to come.

you will round out when baby is right under your ribs then you will wish they were back down again !!

B Bumps do suck... I had one too!!!

They do grow out though, and then you really know its a baby in there;-0

My OH has been on me about gaining weight as the top part of the B is growing much more. Although I habe only put on max 6 lbs.

Tell him to shove his opinion where the sun dont shine, lol. The stuff in the top is losing space daily and getting more cramped up as baby grows, of course its going to stick out more. Putting on 6lbs is nothing to worry about at all. Us women have enough pregnancy insecurities without ignorant men poking their nose in, lol. He should be worshipping your extra few pounds. For the next few months your body is the little temple thats cooking his bubba, so tell him to pipe down

I dont blame ya hun. We are expected to bloat up a bit. We need fat stores for bubba, and then theres the water retention too. The day i had my son i looked like a balloon. 3 days later i looked like a rake, and im not normally rake like! Must have been all the water i was carrying cos im pretty sure you wouldnt lose fat in your face in 3 days. I bet he wont be complaining about your big babylons! He dont mind them expandin im sure. If i was you id wait till hes redi to cop a feel then squirt him with em. He cant be moanin about 1 thing expanding yet enjoying another ::
