i have the angel care nappy bin and it supposed to keep the smell out...but...it doesnt!

It has fragrenced wrapper things in it but i also put the nappies in nappy sacks first then in the wrapper just to see if it would combat the smell.

That doesnt work at all!

We change it regular also.

Any ideas on what to do? i feel like it constantly smells and i hate it:nope:

I don't really know what to suggest as I don't use one, and we've never had a problem of the nappies smelling.. Umm have you tried maybe using different nappy sacks? Thicker ones?

Ah! never thought of that...but the ones we use are quite thick anyways:shrug:

Ill definately give another type a try though, thanks x

I had this problem, I've not used mine in a couple of weeks as I've not had chance to get to town to buy refills. I put an airfreshner in mine - you know the ones you can get for cars? The strong smelling tree shaped ones? I shoved one of them in and it helped a bit. I also wrapped nappies in bags then put them in and changed it weekly at the very least.

ETA - I put the airfreshner in the base of the bin. not in the bag?

I'm having this problem, it never used to smell, only started the last week or so.
I'm just going to use nappy sacks n put them in the dustbin. And get rid of nappy bin.

Mine was great for newborn milk feed nappies, but the smelly 'real food' nappies aren't too good for puttin in the bin...the only thing I could think of was air freshener to hide the smell. I have just been putting the nappies in the wheelie bin (bagged of course) but our bins get emptied fornightly and that's gonna really hum when summer comes - eek!

I wash mine out every so often and it seems to do the trick. x

you can get that powder stuff to put in the outside bin so stop the smell maybe that would work? i bought one when LO was about 5 weeks used it once and thought id rather throw it in the bin!

I have the Tommee Tippee sangenic one which I think is similar to the Angelcare one, it only smells if someone (OH) hasn't pushed the nappy down enough before turning the handle and making it disappear.

I give it a wash out everytime i change it but still no joy
Gonna try an airfreshner i think x
