WHY is everyone at the job centre stupid??

I sent a claim in for the suestat maternity grant, i am on the highest rate of child tax credits (i get 246 a month) and yet some moron has replied saying i am not entitled to it as i am not on any benefits!!!

WHY can't anyone there do their jobs properly? This was the third form i filled in, the first one i sent by normal post which they claimed they did not receive then the second i sent recorded which got signed for and they lost again and this third one some moron can't do his job!!

Has this happened to anyone else? can you jus not call them and say ths letter is wrong and give them your child tax credits ref? And is it worth complaining about this membe of staff? I find it disgusting he can't do his job prroperly when me and other families on a low income really need this for baby bits and they can't do their jobs right!!

there is a number to call on the letter, alls they will do is cheke your tax credits and issue the payment as they now have the form from you on their systems. But whose to say that particular advisor is not in the same sitatuion as yourself? People do make the occasional mistake, and im sure it will be corrected were entitlement is due

Ive just noticed you were filling out the tax credits claim form around the 19th sept, its unlikly that the tax credit information would off been on the system if you sent the SSMG form by the end of the same month which is why the will have declined you. Tax credits can take upto 2 weeks normally to upload onto systems and go into payment, and thats providing that there is no further information required to complete the application. Id say wait until your tax credits start up properly (dont let it go over 28 days) then call the number on the letter and they will do the payment over the phone for you xx
