Really, does it have to be quite so rank..........it is almost worth just suffering the agony.....bleh

What flavour do you have? My doctor gave it me on prescription aha! But I love it! I've got the minty one!

Oh....it's aniseed ! Maybe I need to look out for the minty one ( I live in hope!) ......I fear it's all much of a muchness though....it's the aftertaste of chalk *shudder*

I've found that it does not work in the slightest!! I always go for the cheaper stuff which I find to be thicker and much faster working!!

I will have to delve deeper into the world of antacids ! The joys !

Ahhhhh as gross as it is....its the best Frenemy I have ever had! :winkwink:

lol I love the taste of minty Gaviscon! I have to say though that the aniseed flavour sounds straight nasty! :haha:

My doc offered me flavours, and I almost threw up at the thought of aniseed!:haha:
The peppermint one is definitely the one!!

I got mine on prescription so a big free bottle! Can't complain!:haha:

I am almost 36 weeks and haven't touched Gaviscon once. I swear by Tesco peppermint indigestion tablets. They work straight away and don't taste too bad.

I've found that the Boots own-brand heartburn relief liquid is much more palatable! Plus it seems to work quicker.

The minty gaviscon advanced it good. You can only get it in chemists in uk. It's thicker than the normal gaviscon do you only need to have a small amount. Ive found it to be brilliant and instant!

I use Tums, which has calcium in it so good for babies teeth and bone development
You can only have 7 tablets a day tho x

I can't bear it, just can't stomach it at all, even the thought has me gagging.

Much prefer the chalky indigestion tablets. In fact the Rennie spearmint ones are actually growing on me so much that I sometimes forget it's not a sweet! Just wish could take more a day...

Aniseed Gaviscon is fricking wrank lol My dr has precribed Peptac for me - its the cheaper version of gaviscon, but its minty - yet not overly so, and I prefer the texture too. May be worth asking for some of that? I pretty much live on the stuff right now!

I swear by rennies as they seem to be the only thing I can take. I tried liquid gaviscon and hated it, so I bought the tablets...they were like eating chalk and I found that they didnt work as well. However, they did go down better than the liquid stuff xx

I LOVE GAVISCON BUT.....
It has to be the peppermint, and it has to be out of a really cold fridge.

my doc gave me the advance (which I think is the really thick one) and I made the mistake of not asking the chemist for peppermint so got aniseed and heaved everytime.

So I went back and got another one but peppermint.

As I said, keep it in your fridge it really helps and instantly gets rid of heartburn :-D

My heartburn isn't too bad, I'm hoping it doesn't get any worse because atm I would much rather put up with it than drink the gaviscon they have given me!

I've got the minty advance one too. The flavour is ok, but the thick gunkyness makes me gag every time - yuk! It sorts out the heartburn though.
