With dd 1 we had the name before she was conceived, we named her Marella, which is a family name

With this one we get to choose! I have a list and totally honestly I can't decide between them. I'm worried when she comes we won't be able to choose. It took us a week to name our puppy! Anyway- here's the list, opinions are very welcome :)

Cora
Eliza
Florence
Isla
Esther
Delilah
Josie
Darla
Penelope
Lana
Dulcie
Mabel
Tess
Elsa
Martha
Caris
Violet
Rosie

First of all, there's no name that everyone will like! (In fact, when we actually figure out a name, we're not going to share it with people until after the baby is born.) However, I think the name Cora is beautiful. A lot of the other names are definitely "grandma" names here in the US. That being said, I have no idea what is popular these days in the UK, so it can be totally different! Good luck with choosing! It's definitely a difficult thing to do!

A lot of them are vintage in the uk, Marella is a 1920's name so we're trying to find ones that compliment it. Vintage names are quite popular over here ATM

I feel the say we can't fint a name for our princess with 4 of our boys that all had names b4 they were born our 5 th boy was nameless for 4 days and now with our little girl I really want a perfect name but I don't like any names so bad poor girl will be nameless for a bit too I think once you see her u will know as well xx

Vintage names are coming back in fashion, at least in australia they are, I've def noticed different trends in the US. I personally love the vintage names, we like Audrey for a girl :)

Cora - 7/10 cute as is Cara and Coral
Eliza - 7/10 ages fine, Elizabeth might work well with this as a nickname
Florence - 1/10 old fashioned and not my taste
Isla - 0/10 personally hate this
Esther - 1/10 very, very old fashioned
Delilah - 3/10 pretty sounding but was the name of a biblical whore
Josie - 6/10 would it be short for Josephine?
Darla - 7/10 very cute
Penelope - 4/10 classic
Lana - 8/10 my other half would love this
Dulcie - 2/10 never heard before and sounds odd to me
Mabel - 2/10 although would be much higher spelled Maybelle
Tess - 8/10 very cute
Elsa - 8/10 very cute and ages well, great with Elsie as a nickname
Martha - 7/10 slightly more modern feeling
Caris - 5/10 interesting name
Violet - 8/10 classic but works as a modern name
Rosie - 4/10 rose would be better inho

combination suggestions:

Cara Elizabeth
Darla Maybelle
Lana Tess
Elsa Violet
Martha Josephine
Caris Rose

these combinations (I believe) are modern enough to not be picked on, classic enough to age well and timelessly feminine

I like Mabel, could be shortened to Mae which is very pretty on its own. It's on my list (a lot of your names are lol) but a good friend just used it for her puppy :(

I really like Cora, Caris and Violet!

Good luck with your name picking! It's so difficult. :)

Thank you for taking the time to do this. It's so hard to choose. I'm
Not religious at all so the biblical whore doesn't bother me. Dulcie is quite common where I live, I actually know three. Her middle name will be Morgan- I should have mentioned it in original post :)

Eta - Josie would just be Josie, as well as Eliza would be Eliza and not Elizabeth- Elizabeth is to traditional and mainstream for me liking

I love

Eliza
Florence
Esther
Elsa
Martha

I think Esther Morgan and Darla Morgan flow the best out of all the names, but Esther works best with dd#1.
Marella and Darla has too many 'la's :) (and Darla always reminds me of Finding Nemo  sorry!)

Marella and Esther is definately a winner!

Cora - It's different. I like it. Would suggest spelling Corah
Eliza - Like it
Florence - Not a fan
Isla - Like it but seems to be popular on this site anyways
Esther - Not a fan
Delilah - Love it! Lilah is a cute nn!!
Josie - Love this! I would name her Josephine nn Josie
Darla - Not a fan at all, sorry
Penelope - Not a fan but do like nn Penny
Lana - I like Laina a lot better. Lah-nuh sounds dull if that makes sense
Dulcie - No. Sorry
Mabel - It's ok
Tess - Seems like a nickname; incomplete. Tessa sounds nice
Elsa - Not a fan
Martha - Can only think of Martha Stewart.
Caris - Not sure how this is pronounced?
Violet - Beautiful
Rosie - Sounds nickname-y. I'd go with Rose, Rosemary, Roseanne, etc.

Good luck!

I love Cora! Think it's very unusual and would go lovely with ur other LOs name. I also like Penelope but I'm slightly biased as ur little ones called penny!

Cora, Elsa and Martha are all gorgeous and go well with Marella

I am biased toward Martha as our baby will have this as a middle name if its a girl :) Although Marella and Martha may be too many 'm's

Cora - cute, but my father's girlfriend's name is Cora and she's like 100 years old, and I have a friend who named her daughter this, but spelled it Korah. Been hearing this name a lot lately on this forum
Eliza - no
Florence - waaay too vintage for me
Isla - okay, but not crazy about it
Esther - no
Delilah - beautiful name but have a friend who named her daughter this, and it's becoming far too trendy these days
Josie - it's alright but nothing special
Darla - adorable
Penelope - lovely but also too popular lately thanks to Penelope Cruz, Kourtney Kardashian's daughter and a number of other celebrities
Lana - Again, nothing special
Dulcie - awkward
Mabel - too cute, but quite a few celebrities have picked up on it as well
Tess - adorable
Elsa - Not so much
Martha - Please God, no
Caris - very interesting, different, catchy. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones named their daughter this
Violet -great name, but someone, actually many someones, seem to think so too, as it's becoming a favorite of many
Rosie - No

So my faves are Darla, Tess, Mable, Caris and Violet

I love your list! Cora, Eliza, Tess, and Violet are my favorites. I love Rose, but less so Rosie (as a full name at least.)
