Why is she always so sore :(

Oh hun dont feel bad, we cant always know everthing as parents. I only guessed that because all mine have had it whether its bum thrush, oral thrush or both

Dont worry hun, she will be sorted soon. Make sure she has plenty of fluids too to dilute her urine, and give calpol if you think she has pain. Anything to help her xx

Poor River. Hope she gets better soon hun:hugs::hugs:

She saw the doctor yesterday he looked at her bum for 10 seconds said nappy rash and prescribed metanium. He could barely speak english and when i said its not just nappy rash he ignored me.

It seems a little better. she woke up screaming last night because it hurt though which was horrible. Were using metanium (which i hate) and roibos tea bags and natural yogurt (not all at once obv lol). hopefully it will clear up soon

My lo had a very sore bottom a few weeks back, it was red raw with what looked like the top layer of skin missing, just like your lo's. The doctor tried to tell me it was lactose intolerance and gave me a paste to apply and told me to cut all dairy out of my diet to see if this made a difference to lo. Before quitting dairy I tried the paste, she had a bad reaction to it so I cleaned it all off and put on some metanium (which previously hadn't been working) and almost overnight it started to clear up, it was less raw and after a couple of days the skin began to heal. Turns out it wasn't an intolerance. Apparently the paste covers and protects the sore area from wee and poo giving it time to heal. It was called Orabase, don't know if its worth a try? Sorry for the long post x

My LO had bad nappy rash when he was only a week old from his Pampers nappy. It took almost a month to get rid of it!

We changed to Huggies nappies (as they don't have that weave pattern in them), we also tried Sudocrem, Metanium and Bepanthen which if anything made it worse. We then had Boots Calamine and Glycerin cream which definitely soothed it but it didn't go away. The doctor prescribed Daktarin and then Canesten both of which made his little bottom even worse!

A lot of nappy free time and a cream prescribed by the doctor called Conotrane was what got rid of it in the end and it hasn't come back since.

Don't feel bad it sounds like you are doing all you can to get rid of the soreness! I'd recommend the Boots cream until you get to the doctors as the calamine will soothe her bottom and take away some redness.

Aw that looks pretty painful:( I don't know if this would help you but it helped me when Charlie had a bad rash - beat an egg white and put in on with a soft cloth (muslin) and then have nappy off time for a while, leave it for about half an hour then wash off (I did it around bath time) Then plenty of barrier cream before bed. I thought it was an old wives tale but it really worked! Good luck for you and River :flower:
