sorry quick question, i had my m/c in late oct as it was natural i had no bloods or scans done after so dont know if my hcg levels have returned to normal, should they have by now, i have had no af yet and wondered if that might be why.

:hug::hug:

I'm not 100% sure but I think that is how it works because AF can't show up until the HCG levels drop. I wish I was more knowledgeable to help you but I never had mine tested either. Good luck though hun! I hope your AF shows up soon. I know it can be hard waiting all the time.:hugs::hugs:

I would have thought so but it will depend on how far along you were when you m/c. You could get a hpt and if that is still + it could mean there is hcg there - or if you have been actively ttc you could be pregnant.

You should probably go get your levels tested, just incase you didn't pass all of the tissue and everything, because you don't want to cause an infection.
Usually HCG levels drop a week after you pass the biggest clots and such, at least mine did.
Best of luck.

It depends how far along you were before you m/c.
It took me almost 7 weeks for my first AF after my m/c in may - I had an Erpc at 14 weeks. Then it only took me 4 weeks after my m/c in sept - not sure how far along I was but it was early like 4-6 weeks.
How long have you been waiting?

i was 6-7 weeks when i had my m/c.
it has been 5 1/2 weeks since my m/c. we have not been activley ttc but not not trying if that makes sense.

Have you stopped spotting for more than 20 days and have had your AF? If so, your hormones are probably back to pre-pregnancy state. If you are still spotting and have a weird AF that you're not if it was an AF or not, go get your HCG tested - or just wait until you get a normal AF.

I went from 9000 to 214 in one week (week of my m/c) then 214 to 7 in two weeks. Then I think I stayed in 7 for a veeeeery long time because I kept spotting and my AF didn't come until seven more weeks after that. I didn't get HCG tested after I hit 7 though, so I'm not too sure.

There's no standard for the m/c recovery process... it varies sooo much. It also depends on if you m/ced naturally or got the tablet or had D&C done. From my experience, and reading on the net, it takes hormones a lot longer to normalize if you m/ced naturally.

If you miscarried in Oct then yes there won't be anymore HCG in your blood from that pregnancy by now.

It usually only takes a few weeks for body to adjust back to the way it was...even after a late miscarriage or prem-birth (like I've had a couple of times).

Actually thinking about it I was told in EPU it can take up to 3 weeks for the levels to drop to zero, so it's probably just your hormones settling down. Hopefully :witch: will arrive soon, unless you are already pregnant again?

well it will be 3 weeks since i stopped spotting on wed so will just give it a few more weeks and then if af has not arrived then i will do a hpt but it is unlikely i am pregnant things are never that simple for me.
thanks for all your advice you are all wonderful
xx

Im sorry i dont have any advice, just wanted to send you love and hugs.
