Hi,

Myself and my husband are both fulltime mature students. However, my husband also has a fulltime job which he kept on from before becoming a student. We live in Scotland, does anyone know if we'll be entitled to any help ? the baby's not due for aaaaaages but I'm clueless about benefits etc and dont have a clue where I'd even go to find out about anything ? I'm presuming we're not due anything since we're students but thought as he works fulltime it may be worth enquiring ?

Any advice would be great !

How does your husband have a fulltime job and be a fulltime student?!

well i was a full time student until i had ali and had to leave as there was NO support out there at all. i live in scotland too.....we would have got nothing for childcare unless i worked 16 hrs per week and i couldn't possibly do that and look after a small baby, and study and do full time placements (i was studying occuptional therapy). i chose to leave the course......best choice ever. it was causing loads of stress!!!

Thanks, the entitled to website gave us loads of suggestions we didnt now about ! According to that I'm entitled to quite alot of help but I'm not sure how accurate it is. DH has no option but to work unfortunately we used to both work full time, then I got sick and had to give up fulltime work and so went back to study to try and qualify for something I could do. He decided student life would be fun and started studying too, how he does it I dont know, I def couldnt ! We're both very excited about baby coming, and obviously would give up study for baby if need be but would love to finish too so heres hoping !
