Not sure what else I can try. Molly just won't burp after her bottles. Eventually I have to give up trying to burp her, and if I put her down she goes bright red and squirms, obvoiusly in pain, and cries until I pick her up. I have tried infacol but this doesn't seem to help, I'm going to try Gripe water, any other suggestions?

Is round the outside of her lips blue hun? sometimes that can happen if they have wind

It sound's like she does have wind, Gripe water is pretty good I used it on my LO's.

Gripe water really helped Livvy too. Try burping her in different positions.....sitting upright, over your shoulder, over your knees....sometimes swapping their position can help shift the wind.
I don't know how many feeds your LO is having each day, but bear in mind they can only have 6 doses of gripe water in 24 hours.....so if she has more than 6 feeds, you'll have to pick which feeds to leave it out of!!

May was like this too and I used to be nearly in tears trying to wind her for AGES, esp. after night feeds. Nothing helped her, but she seems to have grown out of it now and does huge burps as soon as she finish her bottles

Hi Toby used to be a nightmare for bringing his burps up. We ended up using infacol on him which takes around a week or so to have any affect and i found he was better if he was winded over my shoulder. We also used to burp him halfway through a bottle and then give him the rest after he had brought his wind up. xx

by the way u can give them infacol and gripe water...how many dopplers of infacol are u using we found we have to give archie 2 dopplers full....and i find winding him over my knee is best for us maybe as my legs pressing against his belly too xx
im not sure how often u wind her but we used to do it every 2oz once he hit round 2 months id do it halfway thru and at the end....oh and if she will take it put a dummy in her mouth whilst ur burping her that helps bring up wind...as its harder aswell if she is screaming. hope this helps xxx

Yeah I'd suggest gripe water. I also wind her 2-3 times during the feed and try her in all different positions if she can't get it up (on her tummy, over my shoulder, sitting etc) I also rub her tummy to help ease the pain a bit for her and that seems to work. x

Chase has been a hard one to burp. Try bouncing Molly gently on your lap, standing while holding her and bouncing her gently, or laying her down and gently squeezing her knees towards her tummy. These often helped.

I found gripe water didn't help with Chase's burps but did help the wind come out the other end :)

Are you breast or bottle feeding - I know there are certain milks if you are bottle feedign that seem to cause more wind than others. We had this problem and swapped to Cow and Gate Comfort and this really helped. If you are breast feeding then maybe look into your diet and see if you can avoid 'windy' foods!

I have to agree with this....but either way, if the wind comes out....then LO is happy!!!

I used to sit Amelia on my knee supporting her head/chest in one hand and then holding her back/head with the other and tilt and rock her from side to side, backwards then forwards etc. That usually worked.

Or

Hold her over your shoulder and walk up and downstairs patting her back, that nearly always worked.

We have had huge diffculty winding Noah, Infacol has been brilliant for us, its taken nearlya fortnight to have any affect though and we are now using 2 full droppers every feed.

Sitting noah up straight seems to work the best for us but it doesn't always work mind! putting him over our shoulder or changing postition quickly seems to work. Or if he is having a particually bad day where his wind is staying down a lot feed after feed, bathing him seems to help him to burp it up!

I found infacol worked for us and I rub ds back in circles rather than pat him this tends to work. OH is useless at getting his wind up.
