Mom had three of us and told me she wore underwire as long as it was comfortable, then switched to nursing bras at about 8-9 months. I was complaining about my wireless one, lol. They're AWFUL!

The wires are only a problem if the bra's ill-fitting or they're uncomfortable for you....like at the end of pregnancy.

I wear a wired on in the day and a soft cup bra for lounging about and for night time as my boobies are so big and uncomfortable that they hurt without a bra on in bed:cry:

I was told that underwires are bad for you when you milk comes through after having baby, when your boobies expand the most and the underwire could become really tight. Im still wearing underwire now I prob will until the end.

I am wearing underwired until the end.I tried the non-wired last time and felt so bleh in them :(
I love feeling the support there, will switch when I give birth and my milk comes in because you can trap a duct and get infection.

i live in sports bras while i'm at home ...
when i go out i put on the underwires... i can only wear them for so long before i want to tear them off!

My mw told me to stop wearing underwire bras as soon as I need bigger ones.. but there is no way in hell I can wear a non wired bra!! I've worn wired all my life and cannot wear non wired...... I'll just make sure I get measured properly and get ones that are comfy and fit properly.

Ive worn wired bra's throught my entire pregnancy up until now ... but im struggline to get a comfy wired one in my size so im going over to a support one for these last few weeks,

Whatever your comfiest in i say.

I've been told that they are fine to wear if they fit properly and wont affect the milk glands (or whatever they are called) until after pregnancy when nursing.

I haven't heard anything, but no one has really told me not to, either.
On that note, I'm not really busty like some of you ladies. I've just just just hit a D cup, so its not at all hard to come up with bras that fit properly.
