After a week of searching for it, I FINALLY found bub's heartbeat using my sonoline B fetal doppler. I was SO relieved because there were some issues with the baby having a slow heartrate early on and I literally have NO pregnancy symptoms at all (except for some minorly tender breasts) so I have worried all along that something wasn't right. Anyways, even though I was relieved to finally hear the heartbeat, it was only about 140-150 bpm. Has anyone else heard their baby's heartbeat at around 9 1/2 weeks and was it anywhere close to mine? I would love to hear some words of encouragement because from what I have been reading online, it really should be a bit higher. Thanks ladies!

I think that's a normal heartbeat! Isn't the old wives tale .. Above 140 is a girl, below is a boy? ( which I'm sure is just a wives tale but that means your heartbeat is right in the middle.

Megans was typically in the 150's and 160's. This baby was 170 at 8+5. on Doppler at 11weeks was in the 150's.

Babies range. At 9 weeks 5 days (our first OB visit) baby's heartbeat was 180. I thought that was so high..lol

Thanks ladies, I read online that the heartrate should be between 160-180 from 9-10 weeks and then settles down after 12 weeks into the 120-180 range. So if I go by that, the heartrate is a little low for 9.5 weeks. I know I should relax and try to stop worrying, but I am just so on edge because the baby had a low heartrate at the beginning and I am worried that something is wrong.
Also, I had a question for those using dopplers, how long and how often do you check? I'm trying not to use it too much, but it's just so tempting!!!!

My info from my hospital claims that the heartrate increases a bit at 12 weeks. I don't think yours sounds low at all. And the babies heart rate changes during the day. It's not a constant thing. During my 3rd tri monitorings with Megan the nurse said.... Did you just eat breakfast? As the baby's heart rate was higher.

I've decided to use mine only once a week. As I don't want to get obsessed with it.
