I have nothing to contribute BUT I knew a girl named Mirena-- she spelled it Mireena but pronounced it the same. Obviously, when she was named, it wasn't an IUD yet but I thought it was funny when I got the IUD and was like "Whhhaaattt's it called?!". Ha! That's why I'm going traditional with the name of my LO.
