Some of you may have read my thread in GS about my sister passing away. It is her funeral tomorrow and then after that I am going to have to start thinking about going home and back to work. I have been staying at my mums since she died.

Being a single parent is tough enough as it is, but I was never sad or grieving about anything or anyone. I want to be back home as it is home, although its a good hour away from my mum :( I also want to go back to work hopefully next Monday as it will keep me busy in the day, Evan can get back into his routine and I can begin rebuilding things.

I'm just scared about the evenings. When Evan is in bed and I am alone with my thoughts :(

:hugs: Sorry to hear about your loss. It will be hard going home but I think once you are back into your routine with LO things will start to get easier.

My husband left me after having an affair and I have had my mum staying with me for nearly 5 weeks, next week I go back to my normal life and work and I am also dreading the evenings. They are lonely times.

:hugs:

I can't imagine what it must be like :nope:

I've been so busy I haven't had time to sit and think much.
Do you like baking or movies or anything like that?
I must admit I've been partaking in some serious junk TV. I actually look forward to my date with Gavin Henson on a Friday night - does me good to see some flirty swooning romance going on out there in the big bad world.

My 'me time' I've taken to cooking things I've never cooked before - it completely occupies my mind and stops me getting wound up, which is ace.

Do you have friends you can invite over?
Is there anyone you can make a regular arrangement with?

There's always BnB ;)

:hugs:

Agree with everything the above poster said hun, sending hugs xx

Just wanted to say I am so soryy about your sister, cant imagine what you are going through. I hope everything went aswell as it could do yesterday. XXXX

I'm so sorry Soph! Just keep yourself as busy as possible.

I did see your post, and been reading it, you've done well hun, your sister would be proud, i know its different but when ive stayed at my mums for a few days i dread going home cos i will be lonely once LO is in bed, but you know what the peace and quiet and the time with your thoughts is nice, if you want to sit on sofa and have a cry do it. i do it sometimes just have a cry cos im fed up of everything, wishing things were different etc..

crap on tv or reading might help, maybe get a hobbie?
you will be fine :hugs:
