So now Fred is having 3 solid meals im worried he won't want his tea time booby much longer, he already takes less and it worries me my supply will stop? I didn't want to do 3 meals yet but he LOVES his food and is sleeping through again since doing 3 ( was waking in the night on 2 meals ).

A couple months back he wouldn't feed from me in the day so started doing 2 bottles in day plus 1 at bedtime, now I wonder if I can get rid of the day bottles and go back to feeding him to keep it going?

He always has a good bfeed first thing in morning, ahhhh feel confussed?!!! Dont feel ready to stop xx

I think it's worth a try to keep your milk supply up. Switch him to the breast instead of the bottles and see what happens.
Simon is only doing one serving of cereal a day, but he inhales it. God, it's messy. It's so cute, but I know I'm going to be wishing that we were still doing nice, tidy, easy BFing for all meals in a couple of weeks. What can you do, eh? They are already deciding what they want!

feed feed feed! Your supply will probably go up to match his intake. This is why I'm glad I never combi fed although I appreciate there is various reasons why people do.

We were the same here. She dropped loads of BF when we started weaning. I wanted to make sure she was still getting plenty of BM and so we dropped our bedtime bottle of EBM/formula in favour of me BFing her then. She only really has morning and bedtime mimi now and the post bath feed was historically what gave me a break back in the days of cluster feeding. That then became her last feed of the day so we were down to morning and mid afternoon then it was the bottle. So over the course of a week I ditched the bottle for a direct BF. She's now dropped the mid afternoon BF too so it's me morning and night which is how I wanted it ready for going back to work next month.

You can switch it round Brockie. I also found that she was actually taking way more milk than she must have needed. She had 9-13oz of milk for that last feed but she only has a 20 min feed which I doubt she takes that much and she's still sleeping exactly the same and settling lovely. The first week she lost 3oz which I expected but then she's carried on gaining :D

:hugs: hun hope you can carry on as long as you want to I can imagine its hard and very confusing :(

Well i have tried this last couple of days to feed him more in the day, but we just go back to the reason i started giving him more bottles in the first place - he just doesnt want to feed from me in the day!!!! he started doing this about 4 months, not sure why, morning is no probs, he loves it gets so excited and has a good feed and sometimes bedtime but other than that, hes not interested

oh well, i will carry on with our mornings and just offer it if he seems interested, have been really upset again but just have to accept he is growing up and is such a happy contented little boy so i must be doing something right?! :baby:

You must be :D well done you for perserveering (sp??) and hope it all comes together xx

You're definitely doing a wonderful job - he's a smasher x
