Worried--Pregnant with Temperature Drop

Maybe I am just being paranoid because I recently had a mc in Feb, but I am currently pregnant (just 13 dpo) and I had a huge temp drop today. It was below the cover line Does this mean what I think it means? I did have a restless night and woke up/took temp 3 hours earlier than normal. Any help is GREATly appreciated!

put the thermo down! mine dropped considerably and im still pregnant....your hormones will be all over the place, all readjusting, temping will get you nowhere.x

I agree with putting the thermometer down. I had a tough time doing so and only made myself paranoid at every temp dip. Temps fluctuate a lot in pregnancy. I wouldn't even count the temp you took if you didn't sleep well and you took it 3 hours early (which is VERY early - I only kept temps +/- 1 hr).

Can you get your blood HCG checked? It may set your mind at ease.

Agree with the others. Mine dropped too, I posted a similar thread and was told the same. I haven't looked back and it's nice to not have to wake up so early anymore.

It is up to you if you want to keep temping, I continued to temp for about 2 weeks afterwards and then stopped. A drop could mean a lot of things which is why the ladies suggest to put the thermo down. Taking your temperature early can affect your temperature. Your temperature changes depending on what cycle of sleep you are on. Your body temperature gets higher as you approach your waking hours (to help you wake up easier and to function during the day), whereas in deep sleep your temperature is much lower because you don't need as much heat and energy to function during this time. You may have been in a deep period of sleep (do you remember if you were dreaming when you woke up?) which is why your temp is so much lower.

I had to put my thermometer down, I also experienced a temp drop about a week ago, turned out to mean nothing as I'm still pregnant now, but it did scare me a little! I read once you're pregnant your temps will show you nothing anyway xx

Agree with what everyone said. I can't say it better myself but just wanted to emphasise that I agree 100% a dip means nothihg

Thank you so much everyone! I woke up because my 1 yr old is sick and started to cry at 2 am. I had planned to recheck the temp at 5 at my normal wake time, but of course i couldn't sleep after seeing such a dip! I am glad to hear that this is relatively common. Thanks again ladies!!! Xx

i'm trying to put the thermometer down too! but have not yet succeeded. so here's what i noticed this morning when i temped three times!!!

4am 97.80
6am 98.10
8am 98.34

So we should totally listen to the ladies and stop the temping. I've been paranoid cause of some spotting that happened sunday. the temps tend to vary so much though, and its not at all reassuring to see the temps fall off the cliff on ur chart and I'm sure we're both fine. so yeah lets just stop it .

How many dpo are you? what was your temp yesterday? ... I agree...lets just stop the stressing!!

Your temp at 2am is going to be way out so is very unreliable and then not sleeping will have an effect so there is no need to worry. If it helps temp tomorrow to put your mind at rest. I bet it will be back up. I stopped temping at about 6 weeks as it didn't tell me much and I thought it best to just relax. Xx
