i'm 41 (turned 41 last sunday)
i'm 11 weeks pregnant today, and so far in this pregnancy i have had 3 bouts of bleeding, each one being worse than the last one,
the first was at 5/6 weeks, u/s was fine, bleeding only lasted around 6 hours.
second was at 8 weeks 5 days, again bleeding only lasted a few hours but there was more than in the first.
the third was very scary, happened last sunday morning, bleeding started not too heavy (when i saw it i thought hmmm not to worry its like the last one) a couplde of minutes later i felt really sick, vomited, when i vomited i felt like i had wet myself, so after i wiped, the tissue was covered in a clot the entire size of my hand, i then bled enough to fill 2 night time pads in the following 20 minutes. i phoned an ambulance and was taken to A&E, there when we checked my pad the bleeding had slowed from severe to mild. i was transfered to gunae who checked my, told me my cervix was closed and my uterus was still the right size for 10 weeks. so i chose to come home, when i got home i discovered two more large (but not as large) clots. i was booked for a scan the following day. scan showed everything was fine and no evidence of a bleed or reason for the bleed. since then i have had a stop start brown discharge.
not sure if this brown is a new bleed starting or the old one ending, but i am really worried.
