Would anyone else change their date if their photographer was booked up on that day..

I'm in a dilemna. OH really, really wants this guy. It'd mean moving the date, which is somewhat embarrassing. Luckily we have not had anything printed yet. It'd mean re-organising date for church and reception (only by a week or so either way).

Feedback, please?

If you can change the date without losing church/venue or any deposits paid, and you really want this guy, then yes, go for it. Who is it? I love looking at photographers websites

yes, I would!! to me, it's the photographs that are gonna keep that day so alive and fresh in my memory so they have got to be perfect. As boofs says, if you arent gonna lose your deposits then go for it

we sort of had this situation as well....we were willing to move the date a week forward just to have our photographer....but luckerly the other lady is moving hers so we got him!
go for it hun, if it means you will have the most amazing photos for the rest of your life!!

We have moved the date back today by a week to the 13th August, so hopefully he can be on board now.
We'd rather have a guy that we feel is instinctively 'right' for us and move the date whilst it's not too much of a hassle!

It depends. If your heart is really set on this photographer and there isn't anyone else you've seen as a back-up that you love and it would be easy enough to change the date with your venue and any other vendors you have then I would say yes. We had to change our date originally because the venue we picked wasn't available on our date. We hadn't told anyone the original date though other than our immediate family, so it wasn't a big deal for us. But really, you'll always have the pictures of your wedding, so it is really important that you have someone you can trust to get the shots that you love. Best of luck!
