Would 'boy parts' be noticeable in a 'potty shot' at 12+4 do you think?

I've had a serious feeling it's a girl. I think mainly because the OH wants a boy(I don't care what it is) and I'm trying to convince him it MAY be a girl. I think because I've had serious sickness ever since I was 5 weeks and I heard that that usually means girl. I also don't see anything on the 'potty shot' that would point towards boy. Is that too early to tell or was your boy noticeable? Any gender guesses?

No they would not definitely be visible, you can't tell accurately until after 16-18 weeks. Even then it's not always 100%

Hiya. I had serious sickness during my early stage of pregnancy and I found out I was having a boy. I would wait until you were at least 16 weeks before trying to find out for sure. From the photos neither is clear as to whether its a boy or a girl. xx

The potty shot isn't going to help at 12+4. You can determine sex then sometimes but it depends on the angle of the nub, not anything visible from the potty shot.

I wouldn't trust it until at least 16 weeks, some people get told earlier but not as early as 12.

I know of someone on here wh had hyperemesis with her boy and wasn't sick once with her girl, so the sickness part doesn't always follow.

I can't see a nub on your pics to have a guess (although i'm useless at nub theory anyway!) but i'm sure your OH won't actually care when the time comes! x

I had no sickness with my boy, and at 20wks there was no mistaking his boy bits!! But u cannot tell before 16wks as I don't even think the bits are developed at that point? (don't quote me!) I have my scan for this baby on Wednesday. I've again had no sickness but everyone has said girl to be based on gut feeling, 'pyschic ability' and skull theory... Here's hoping!!

All those that say you can't tell at 12 Weeks are not speaking from experience. I went for my scan at 12+3 and was told boy. I saw the penis clearly even before the tech did. If the baby has it's legs wide open like mine did, it leaves little room for missing it. But as with all scans they leave a margin for error, especially because girl parts can be a bit bigger than you'd expect and so occasionally misleading at that gestation.
I also know lots of other women who were told gender at 12 Weeks and had it confirmed again later on.

So technically, anyone has a 50/50 chance of gettin it right.. Same percentage as gettin it wrong!. I personally would wait. They say 16wks for a reason as that's when it becomes accurate.

^^ This. At 12 weeks the genitalia aren't even differentiated, so whether it was a boy or a girl it would look pretty much the same, even if you managed to get a proper look at it.

Ah thanks everyone! I really don't care what it is as long as it's healthy. I would be very happy for the OH if it was a boy though! I'm so excited to think about finding out (hopefully) within the next few weeks I only told the OH's mom last Tuesday (she's the only other person that knows about the baby so far) and yesterday when I was over there she was showing me a huge bin full of stuff she's already bought. Books, clothes (boys and girls), baby snugli, and a little blue snow suit :/ ! I haven't got a thing yet LOL
