This is going to sounds crazy but I have to buy more formula today and really debating buying the same kind he's been drinking or should I call his dr and talk about what's been going on and see about a different kind.

My concerns are he cannot be laid flat, he screams and I mean screams.
He seems to chock or act like he's chewing on something when it's been a while since his last bottle.
He has horrible horrible gas! He was switched to enfamil gentlease (for gassy, fussy babies) he gets colief in his formula plus little tummies by mouth and he still has really bad gas!
We are up many nights all night long due to something but I believe it has a lot to do with his gas because sometimes he will get to screaming crying and the let out this huge loud wind and after a couple seconds from that he's ok.
Some nights he will start to doze of and then wake up screaming just a couple minutes after dozing. Then it takes forever to settle him down and it happens all over again for hours and hours!

I don't know what's going on with my little man other then the gas but it breaks my heart to see him like he's in pain and I don't know what todo.

I'd try changing it. We went through a few different ones with lo because of her having bad gas. When we switched from Gentlease to Gerber Good Start Gentle it made a big difference.

I ended up calling and talking to a nurse at his dr office and he now has a dr appt this morning to figure out what's going on and see what should be done.
Nurse said it did sound like he has reflux problems and night need medicine for it but she wasn't sure about the gas since he's on formula for gas.
I just know those nights with the worst gas when neither if us get any sleep becuase he seems like he hurts so bad has to stop... I have to figure out what's going on.

I would try changing the formula. PJ was on regular Similac and it was too much for his tummy. The moment I switched him to the Similac Sensitive for Fussiness and Gas, there was a MASSIVE improvement!

I took him to the dr and they switched him to nutramigen formula and told us to get biogaia drops for his gas.
My DD was on nutramigen and after it got in her system good it really helped so I'm hoping it helps my little man out too!

I have seen a huge difference already and he's been in it only just over 24 hours. He slept great last night. His gas is so much better, he's not ill or crying at all. He's been in the best mood talking, smiling and cooing today :cloud9:
He's still spitting up and acting like he has some reflux problems but they said it would take about a week to really tell a difference! So after a week or so if its not better I'm taking him back and they will put him on medicine.

My LO is on Enfamil AR and it works amazingly for her reflux. On regular formula she can't keep anything down at all, and with this stuff she hardly spits up. The only bad thing is it can constipate them. But it's worth it for us.

My first had severe reflux and needed to be on Similac Alimentum and prevacid.

My second had moderate reflux and I switched her to Goodstart Sooth...HUGE improvement!

He lassoing great on the new formula with everything else though. Try will have to end up putting him on meds becuase he's still spitting up. But he barely has gas now, he's not fussy crying like he's in pain. He sleeps so peaceful now. Im going to give it a few more days with the new formula and see if it changes any.

So glad you seem to have found a solution. We too, had to switch our second child to Similac Sensitive. Our son's gas was so bad, he was inconsolable. Our third will be 5 weeks tomorrow, and seems to be doing alright. Hopefully your little one continues to feel better.

coming from a mom with three out of four babies had milk intolerance and had to use a soy formula...once we finally figured it out it was like night and day...those symptoms matched my little ones symptoms and im telling you its like going from a nightmare to a comfortable baby...
maybe see if that maybe the problem?

Similac Alimentum and prevacid. and pepcid with last son..

used soy good start with my second son and previcid...both where not cow milk based which helped a ton

They changed his formula to nutramigen whic has helped him so much with everything else but the reflux so after if taking him to the dr Friday and the pediatrician wated to see how the formula went first before putting him on acid reflux medicine. So over the weekend he ended up having choking spells and spitting up more and more everyday, so they called him in some Zantac. I have to pick it up when the pharmacy opens this morning to start him on it and pray it works!! The dr said if its not better within 7-10 days to bring him back in.
But the new formula has helped so much with his colic, his stomach/gas pains and his gas. He's pooping more regular now before it was once every few days and it was more on the firm side which I wasn't pleased with.

see i said it would make such a different if milk intolerance was the problem..
Im so glad he is feeling so much better...

I made a mistake on the forumula my last son was on nutramigan not algimeton (sp) there the same thing just different companies..

btw why zantac....previcid heals the problem....three of my kids where on it and if it didnt all the way help they where given zantac or pepcid as a add in....
i know every doctor has there own way of doing things....maybe its just his preference

im just happy ur baby is feeling better :)

I have no idea why they have him Zantac. My DD was on Prevacid still had issues so she took Prevacid in the morning and Zantac at night. The Zantac is HORRIBLE!!! It's peppermint flavor so when I have it to him the first time he spit most of it back out and I can't blame him. So last night I put it in his formula to drink.
It wasn't his normal dr who called it in. He goes to see her the end of march for his 2 month check up. Or if its not better he has to go before then.
