Would love to hear experiences of using clomid to shorten your cycle

I am seeing my OBGYN Friday to maybe start clomid to reduce my cycle length. I currently O on CD 29 with a 15 day LF so that's about a 44-45 day cycle. Doesn't look like it will change on its own and we r not falling pregnant.
Has anyone used clomid to induce O earlier and shorten their cycle?
What was ur opinion/ experience with it?
Did it work and after how many goes?
