I'm cycle day 13 1st one was taking yesterday around 11am and 2nd one is today around 11am would you say its nearly positive only problem is I'm still on my period :( I pro long and regular bleed how can I possible do the deed surely it wouldn't be this dark if ovulation wasn't expected soon or would bleeding effect the opk results. I also did an opk last night and was no where near this dark so does that make this an incorrect positive :( sorry about all questions xx

It's hard to say as I know around af I usually see darker OPKs but not usually positive. It doesn't matter that last night's wasn't positive and today's is, that's how it usually happens anyway. So you could be about to ovulate, if you're not bothered then I would have sex anyway despite bleeding.
The thing is though, how long do you get without bleeding because if you're constantly shedding your lining then I would imagine this may cause problems with implantation?
If you don't conceive this cycle then perhaps if you're not already, you could take some extra measures to help thicken your lining and hopefully stop the bleeding? I know evening primrose oil is said to help balance hormones, increase fertile cm and thicken lining, there are other supplements too. Also if you're bleeding a lot then you probably require extra iron. Can you ask your doctor for something to stop the bleeding? I know there are things you can take to make that happen, but I don't know how long it lasts for

Thankyou hun yes I do bleed a lot some months I can bleed for 3 stop for 1 or 2 or bleed for 2 stop for 2 so its just a case of trying to get an egg in the time period I'm off. I take iron supplements as anemic and had to have 6 pints of blood transfused. Docs have given me tablets to stop but there not very good I'll have a look into the oil and maybe try that next cycle with the b6 vitamin, I'm hoping my body plays ball and just stops the bleeding to at least give me a chance lol last month wasn't too bad I stopped bleeding for 2 and half weeks but didn't decide to try till this cycle I'll keep my fingers crossed I manage to catch and implant the egg and try different things too help reduce stop the bleeding xx

How much b6 and oil tablets would I need to take hun and are they taken each day of cycle? I haven't a clue but I might nip boots soon and have a look could I start taking them now at CD13 :) thankyou xx

Do you mean you bleed for months or weeks? That's a crazy amount anyway whichever it is! No wonder you're anaemic. Do you know the cause? The implant made me bleed pretty much constantly for a year and it took a while for things to normalise once I had it removed. I was anaemic from this.
Definitely make sure you're taking all the vitamins you can, extra B vits won't hurt (don't take more than the daily maximum recommended but you can take more than you get in a bottle of multivitamins. I take my prenatal multivitamin and evening primrose oil with B6). Try to make sure your diet contains lots of dark green veggies too if you don't already as this will help, also nuts and seeds like pumpkin seeds, Brazil nuts (don't eat more than about 5 a day of these during your lp, otherwise stick to about 2 a day as you don't want too much selenium but a little extra during your lp can help with implantation), almonds, peanuts, pine nuts, sesame seeds ... they all contain vital nutrients which all help in ttc and balancing hormones, also with implantation and helping you maintain iron levels

Thankyou hun that's really helpful :) will look into more, as for then bleeding I've had loads of scans and tests and nothing causing it I even had the coil fitted and after 3 days it came back out with the bleeding :( I've loads loads of different tablets and they don't help my consultant has said hysterectomy will be scheduled next year if no improve as effecting my health and they can't seem to stop the bleeding and weeks hun I bleed for 3 whole weeks and about a week off xx

That's a huge step to take. There has to be an underlying cause somewhere, have they referred you to more than one specialist? I think I would ask for a second opinion if they haven't because new people may have fresh ideas.
I'm assuming they have checked hormones and thyroid and stuff?
The reason I bled for the length of time I did on the implant was because it was working too hard, keeping my lining constantly thin. I'm wondering if this is the case with you, that something is out of balance and constantly keeping your lining thin causing you to bleed all the time? Obviously for me it was synthetic hormone causing it, but I suspect if things aren't balanced it may do the same thing? I don't know enough about it, but it seems plausible.
Have you thought about trying alternative therapies like acupuncture or reflexology?

It could well be the case will speak to my consultant about it in January yes I've had loads tests and scans and seen different consultants they can't pin point the problem but too be fair my mum has always had period bleeding problems. Its hard because we wasn't trying for anymore children we are both 29 and was probs going to discuss more children in the near future but being told that if the problem can not be treated I've been on loads of different tablets. Then hysterectomy is a must as my health is getting worse due to the bleeding and they can't seem to stop it. Has made us think a whole lot different about the future and we have decided to give it one last shot but we can't if I don't try and at least calm the bleeding so I'm looking at different vitamins and the oil and any other ideas to at least give us a chance. I got so bad July with it all I had 0 iron in my body I had been bleeding heavy for nearly 3 months my red blood cells were stupidly low I started having breathing problems as wasn't getting enough oxygen I had to be admitted for a week put on high dose of different tablets and 6 pints of blood transfused as I was losing my red blood cells rapidly which was effecting everything. They was amazed that I was still walking around doing school runs and looking after 2 sons as they said they've seen people in my position and they were bed ridden and had no energy at all. So I really don't ever want to get like that again I think that's why there pushing the surgery as I've been struggling with this for 2 years xx
