Would you laugh or cry????

I was tidying up before and we have a big cupboard upstairs thay we keep all our crap in and i came across one of my xmas prezzi's from my OH... it is a set of scales... they tell u your body fat and water level etc... i wasnt snooping just the bag fell and it kinda fell out. I dunno whether to laugh or cry lol! i keep complaining im fat to him etc and out normal scales are crap but do u think its a good present? im a bit embarrassed!!!

I'm sure he bought it with the best intentions, especially if you're been going on about how rubbish your scales are.

However I don't think my OH would dare He's told me he's not even buying me clothes for xmas in case he gets the size wrong!

I suppose if your coat was getting shabby and you said you needed a new one to keep you warm and he bought u one for xmas it would be ok, so i guess its kinda the same......what we have to remember is men don't think the same as us women and they wouldn't see this scenario as a problem.
I reckon you should give something similar back though, eg some viagra or get him some scales too haha
I just hope this isn't the ONLY present he gets you........now THAT would be bad.

Nah, I'm sure he doesn't think you're fat. He's probably just supporting you in your goal to lose weight. At least you know he listens to you!

Awww! I don't know that I'd be happy...but being a man, he probably thought it was a practical gift seen as you've complained about your scales being naff. He probably won't even have thought of it as being suggestive in a bad way!

I'd probably be a bit upset if my OH got me a scale..even tho I complain 24/7 to him about being bigger I'd still be upset if he got me a scale LOL but I'm sure he had good intentions!
