would you use Luna?

This is OHs only name so far that he really likes.

At first I thought no way but I'm coming round to it.

My favourite has been ava for months now.

I would like every thought on this name, is it more for a pet?

Also my DDs name is very similar, starts with L ends in a , would this stop you using it?

I love the name Ava - and I like the name Luna. But Ava is so extremely popular and Luna is quite unique, so I would lean towards that. But I would have a lot of reservations about using it, same as you do. It is commonly used for pets, especially cats... and it refers to the moon and the terms "loony" "lunatic" etc.

I like the name luna however if your daughters Name starts with l and end in a could be too similar.... For example Lola and Luna sound okay but Lara and Luna sounds too much x

Ava was my top name, but its popularity really does bother me, that said it doesn't seem to popular where I live. I really like Luna, it's unusual and pretty, but if it's too similar to your other daughters name then I wouldn't use it x

No i wouldnt but im very picky lol, luna makes me think of pushchair name. I also wouldnt use name that starts/ends in same letters as my other children.

My OH is obsessed with Luna too! I'd use it but it isn't my own favourite name at the moment. Lovely name though.

Thank you for all the comments, I agree I think it is too similar to DD I would use it was a middle name but finding it hard to think of first names that flow nicely, I tend to like short & sweet girls names

yep I automatically thought of Luna Lovegood!
I like the name as I think it's very whimsical but I wouldn't like the add "tic" to the end of it.

My friend has a dog called Luna, so it wouldn't be top of my list!
Although I think too much of Luna from Harry Potter when I think of it as a human name,
