Good question. I have no idea sorry but then I had never heard of ovulation cramps till this wkend. Been getting cramps since friday and I'm meant to be in ovulation stage now.

I don't know. I feel which side I ovulate on most months but it never occurred to me if it was just a cramp or if an egg was released.

I'm sure it is possible yes - anything can stop you ovulating including stress and illness, your body can gear up to release an egg but then not release it.
