I really need some help...

My PCOS is getting worse I had a period in Jan 10 and another June 10 (for two days) and Sep 10.

Im still waiting for another but it literaly feels like I am going to burst!

FS cant do anything at this stage as were are still going through testing, so Ive just got to wait it out :dohh:

Any secrets you ladies can share to bring on my AF? x

My AF had been similar to yours for 15 years, and I just left it since I wasn't ready to ttc. Then when I went in to see the fs he told me that lack of AF can cause cancer.... so generally doctors will prescribe Provera if you need help to move things along. I am sorry but I am not sure how to help you since your in the middle of testing :( Best of luck to you though

I've been told that losing weight will help to bring more regular AF when you have PCOS. I also have PCOS so I'm starting the weight loss struggle.

Some women on b&b forums have used agnus castus (from holland&barrat) to regulate their cycles. I haven't personally but it could be worth doing a search and reading up on it, to decide if it could work for you. Good luck! xx

Hey, I also have pcos, last af was march for 2 days(spotting only) and Jan was the time before then. Though I am not overweight, I have tried angus castus(vitex) for 2 months and it didn't do anything for me. I too am in the middle of testing at my FS. Good luck to you!!

Hi,

I came off BC early February and haven't had an AF since. My bloods came back abnormal so i am awaiting an scan appointment.

Been taking Agnus Catus for 3 months but still nothing..... Has anyone heard of Vit B, does that help absent AF?

xxx

Hi yes I have tried Vitex, it sometimes works for me. I am getting regular periods now, i quit caffine and the last two are on time. Im hoping it stays, Vitex helped me a couple of years ago.

Hello! I have PCOS as well. I went off the pill 3 years ago & I didn't get a period on my own for almost 2 years (even when I took Provera). I had also tried Vitex for 6 months which did not work for me. I went to a bookstore & read about infertility & found that broccoli & avocados are natural reproductive system boosters. Believe it or not when I upped my intake of those 2 foods & started exercising, I got my period naturally & have had it every month since.
Maybe it was a mind over matter thing, but it did work! I recommend trying to eat those 2 foods - can't hurt! Good luck!

Hi Brittsho I have managed to regulate them now, every 33-35 days by not drinking coffee! :D

Although im a week late, so hopefuly this is my BFP awaiting docs results x

Hello, just come across this thread as was searching for PCOS as I to have PCOS, mine are now regular and I seem to be ovulating.

When I didnt have a period etc and couldnt take BC due to DVT and PE, there was nothing much they could do to regulate me, stress was the biggest factor! I found, but also I went and had Accupuncture and herbal remedies from them, and after having no periods for 6+ months...I got one within a week of seeing them! and then its started to regulate with further treatment!

they are pricey but it helped me alot!!

gl to all!

Hey, thought I'd drop in to offer some hope :flower: I have PCOS and fell pregnant after losing approx 2 stone prior to DS1 (8 years ago) & this pregnancy too. I was also prescribed metformin by my GP about 18 months before this pregnancy. Prior to the metformin/weight loss I had anovulatory cycles. Incidentally, DS2 was conceived while I was BF DS1 at 8 months old & on the minipill - I have heard having 2 close together is common with PCOS sufferers, not sure why. Maybe a previous pregnancy 'kick starts' things?

Anyway, it can happen, so I wish you lots of health, happiness & most importantly baby dust :dust:

Hi so glad to have found this thread. I too have PCOS:wacko: After stopping BC I did not have my period for nearly 2 years. A nutural health specialist recommended progesterone cream which did help but then the FS told me I had to stop using it because of the other meds they were putting me on. Change of life style also helped to reinstate my P. Good luck to all. May you all ovulate regularly :flower:

Mine used to be all over the shop but now they can range anywhere between 5 weeks and 10 weeks, hope it gets sorted soon, have u asked about metformin? xx

Hiya, I was on metformin for awhile, they were reluctant to give it to me as they say it wont do anything unless TTC...this was years back..havent asked about it this time..maybe i should.. I seem to ovulate and cycles are regualar 30-33 days.

hello everyone,
went to docs this morning for blood results, found out that i do ovulate but my LH levels were high 4:1 ratio to my FSH levels. Doc said most likely I have pcos, due to irregular periods since i started them at 11 years old. I am now 34. Really want to have another baby, however finding it difficult this time. Can anyone tell me if i still have a good chance of conceiving if my LH levels are high?going for scan in a couple of weeks, doc thinks i may also have endo. lots of baby dust to you all. Good luck

awww sorry to hear! but PCOS seems to be so common now. I am not sure on the levels and what is good or bad..but i think as long as you ovulating that is a good sign :) a few years back I didnt ovulate at all! now I do :D GL to you!!

I would again propose Metformin, low carb diet and regular exercice. I am at 2x1000mg of metformin daily.

Thankyou Mosnippy and detlic. I do have a scan in 9 days, after having that i will know more. One of the docs at my surgery did say even if i do have both (pcos and endo), it would be best that i don't take anything and leave it for a year; but i am 34, time i passing me by. After I have had my scan, I will go to the other doctor at the surgery for my results and to discuss what i should do next. I am sure he will help me. Good luck to you all

I am on a low carb diet now and I am also going for long walks, swimming, cycling and I have lost 10 pounds. I need to lose another 2 stones and 3 pounds x.
