You know you've arrived when...

getting yourself ready takes less than 5 minutes but getting lo dressed/ready/bag packed etc takes the most of an hour!

getting "dressed up" = a clean top and brushed hair

the house is in desperate need of a facelift/lick of paint but lo's room is decorated to perfection!

sleeping til 9am is a luxury!

you spend more money on Dettol each month than you do on anything for yourself!

that spare tenner goes on another new toy!

hahaha you lost me at 9am.......oooh how nice that would be! I can't even remember the last time I slept by 7 (and of course that's after my 4am wake up wailing)

i get to sleep til 9/9.30 at the weekends- its oh's shift- getting up at 8 is a lie in for him- he has to get up at 5 for work!

5am? YACK! my oh tends to take her on walks on saturday morning BUT not before she gets her morning bf:) That is my favourite one of the day! if I have to wake at all doesn't count to me hahaha

when you sit down for dinner and baby cries...he tells you when you have had enough :)
(does my diet wonders)

When you walk around Sainsburys with crushed banana on your top, and no one bats an eye lid because you have 2 under 3s with you

When you notice that almost EVERY shop is against mothers.
-The aisles aren't wide enough for buggys.
-The lift is always at the back of the shop and the kids clothes are always upstairs..or at the back of the shop, which means you have to look through all the lovely clothes you could be buying yourself, but can't afford to because LO needs more clothes..even though they already have more than enough and yours are all stained with baby poo or sick and don't fit any more because you've lost baby weight since you got them, or they're pre-preg and you still haven't lost all the baby weight and your body shape has changed.

When time to yourself means talking about your baby.
When getting clean is a 3 minute shower not an hour in the bath.
When you realise you can do ANYTHING with just one hand!

When you get the instant desire to ram your pram into peoples legs for not moving out the way. You will move for me! :)

Loving everyones answers, all sooo true!

When you start humming the 'happy birthday' song from cbeebies and your OH joins in!

Everything is cleaned by baby wipes...they get everything up!! Ha ha!

Love the pram ramming too...and getting annoyed at people who obviously don't need to use a lift!

When you don't have time for a shower so just wash the front of your hair and tie it up.

When LO starts crying EVERY time you are about to eat. (I seriously don't know how she knows lol).

When you leave your phone at home because you are busy packing the baby bag you forget it.

When you end up with a trapped nerve from trying to steer the shopping trolleys where you put the car seat on.

I didn't read through so some of these could be doubles.

-When every picture I post on facebook is of the baby instead of fun nights out. Same with my status updates.

-When my hair is so ratty that I can remove the hair tie and it stays in place because I never have the time to brush it...or wash it for that matter.

-When I am cleaning the house and I start humming Barney tunes.

2. U spend hrs on BnB & yet u dont have time to pay ur bills on line
so true!

- you take great delight in LO's bodily functions (burping, pooing etc)
- your can't seem to keep on top of tidying the house but can happily spend hours staring at LO.
- you would rather take advice from people you don't really know over that of a qualified health professional
- absentmindedness and memory loss happen everyday and you're pretty sure it doesn't mean there is anything to worry about

When LO starts crying EVERY time you are about to eat. (I seriously don't know how she knows lol).

^^
This times 1000! Seriously how do they know. From the moment he was born, every single time food is ready, he starts to fuss. I'm getting tired of cold dinners and soggy cereal at breakfast.

when you develop the ability to tidy a whole house in 30 mins nap-time without breaking a sweat..... (altho apparently this skill does dissappear if you don't practice regularly - my house is proof lol)

when you get excited about special offers on wash products (tescos had persil small and mighty for £1.82 - i bought 6 bottles )......

lol, these are great. The food one is very true. Everytime I get my food ready hes ready to get up. Alot of times all I can do is stare at my food while I take care of him, lol.

Haha i love this thread! Agree about the food one.. as soon as we dish up Jayden cries! And its always me who has to leave my tea going cold why o/h just tucks in.. not fair lol!

When your way of showing affection becomes blowing a raspberry on any available body part.

Your accepted way of drinking tea/coffee is tepid, as by the time you've mad it, fussed about after LO, got them settled, etc, it's been a good half hour. I miss hot tea :(

You don't refer to your OH by his name anymore, but as 'daddy', even when LO is in bed. :dohh:

Oh this thread is brilliant! And I agree to all of them :)

1) You change shirts 2x - 3x before leaving the house due to spit up.

2) You're constantly tripping on baby stuff in the living area.

3) You walk into a room and everyone asks how the LO is and forgets about you.

the haunting melody of 'old macdonald had a farm' is in your every waking thought

you've mastered the skill of eating with a baby in one arm...even steak!

1) You have spit up on your shoulder but dont notice til you bump into a friend at tesco and they tell you.
2) The highlight of your day is your LO doing a poo (baby was very grumpy when a bit constipated the other day)
3) For the first time in your life, you find yourself picking someone elses nose (he had some boogers hanging out this morning.. hah)

haha totally agree!!!!

when you dont have the time to do your hair & make up & you dnt really care either!!!
