I actually felt very empowered (I was lucky to find a hospital which was more relaxed about letting me birth the way I wanted...after I was transferred) even though my birth didn't go to plan. I am determined to give birth at home next time (I didn't sleep as much as I should have done, so I probably could have lasted at least a couple more hours at home if I'd done that ) but if I end up in hospital again (same one) then it won't be a huge deal....I WOULD be disappointed if I had to do the whole thing at hospital for whatever reason... But hey!

I think we all sometimes forget that it could go exactly the opposite of what we want. What's important is a healthy mommy and a healthy baby! (But our hb experience would be nice too! )

I wanted a drug free water birth but I ended up being induced 17 days overdue so wasn't aloud ... Thank god I didn't my labour ended up more of a slaughter house than a birth so it was lucky I wasn't stuck in a pool! but you go for what you want I think it's an amzing thing to do !
