Just wondering about when you guys who have older babies/toddlers/kids noticed their eye colour was pretty much set?

My DS is exactly 4 months old today. He was born with dark blue eyes, but they were always pretty blue (not your usual super dark blue like most babies). They started lightening almost immediately and he now has the most beautiful eyes...I have to admit I'd be a bit sad if they up and turned a different colour all of a sudden. I kind of always assumed he'd have brown eyes like me and everyone keeps telling me they could still change but I have a hard time imagining him with a different colour now. You can see a pic of him I took this week to see what I mean.

DH has green eyes but his 3 siblings and father have blue eyes.

My son's started blue and stayed blue. A real light bright blue. My daughter was born blue but a word
Odd mid blue that didn't km
Look natural..by three days old they were obviously changing and within a few days were dark brown.can't imagine his changing now

I had bright blue eyes right up past toddler hood. Now I have bright green eyes.
My sons all have blue eyes but my youngest was the darkest and he is blue brown now. I have one completely blue eye and the oldest is blue brown also. They will probably change to green. Both myself and partner have green/brown eyes.

My LO's went from dark blue at birth, to a light slate blue around 4 months, and then started getting brown streaks after 6 months, turned hazel around 10 months, and then mostly brown sometime after her first birthday. They stayed a very light caramel brown for quite a while but sometime between then and now turned a lot darker. I think they've been pretty settled for about 6 months now.

So they changed until she was over 3, I'd say, and there was a HUGE change between 6 and 10 months. I still laugh about the nurse I saw at 6 months who complimented my LO's very greyish eye colour and said "that will be the colour she ends up with, they stop changing about now!"...and now she has dark brown eyes.

My own eyes were grey-blue up until I was a teenager, then gradually turned green!

My LO's eyes were dark blue at birth, lightened to a grey and are now clearly turning green, which I am pleased about, because it's the least common eye colour, so we have to keep those genes alive lol.

Here is LO. Lovely picture OP!

My 4.5 year olds eyes have been the same colour for about 18 months so I think they're settled. My almost 3 year olds are still gradually changing, I'm hoping they'll settle how they are now as they're a lovely pale blue.

He has beautiful eyes!

My daughter was born with dark blue eyes and they've gone light blue over the years.

My son has the most gorgeous dark blue eyes and I really hope they stay like that <3

My oldest was born with blue eyes, they got lighter and are now the most amazing green. My lo never has blue eyes when she was born.her eyes have got lighter though
She is now 5 months

My eldest had dark blue eyes at birth which quickly changed to a very dark brown and has stayed the same since

My youngest has blue eyes and they seem to be staying blue, will be interested to see what colour they turn out as both me and OH have hazel eyes

DS1 was born with grey eyes. One went blue one went green... hahaha. Now they're hazel, but still slightly different.

My three year old was born with dark blue eyes and over the course of his first year they gradually lightened and between 1-2 turned grey like my eyes. In the last 6 months or so they have developed a few minute hazel specks but they have stayed grey.

My 7 month old still has dark blue eyes, so I'm not sure whether they are going to stay blue or turn grey.

Dd1 was born with dark blue eyes and as she got older they went light blue and now they are a mad grey green colour

Dd2 had dark blue eyes and turn dark brown pritty early

Ds has had dark blue eyes but seem to be lightening so I'm hoping he has light blue eyes

I have bright blue eyes and OH has brown eyes

DS eyes were very dark gray when he was born, about a month in they were purple, then darkened into brown by 6m

Thomas's eyes didn't do much changing as a baby, if any. They were a dark greyish brown for about 11 months, and between then and 3 years they went hazel. The middle is brown and the outer half is a greyish green.

Sophie's eyes did a lot of changing. They started out blueish grey, then at 8 weeks they got light tan streaks. These streaks got larger and darker over the next few months. Her eyes are dark overall and a mix of brown with that blueish grey.

All eyes in my family are blue, OH's are hazel, OH's mum has green and his dad has dark brown.

My son was born with slate grey eyes. Over his first year they became very pale blue, and over his second year they became green with gold centres (like mine).

My daughter was born with dark blue eyes that lightened to quite a bright blue (like OH's).

My niece had bright blue eyes till around eight months and then they went mid-brown.

Our son was born with blue eyes that were absolutely blue blue until he was 4 or 4.5 and then they got green around the pupil. I believe they will eventually turn completely green, as both OH and I have green eyes and ours changed when we were each around 10.

Our daughter was born with blue eyes and I *think* around 4 months her eyes changed to having green around the pupil, like her brother's. So I am absolutely certain her's will be solid green at some stage.

My wee one had dark blue eyes when she was born. Now, at 20 weeks they are light blue ( almost icy blue) with a slate grey ting around the outside. Mines are grey with a darker grey ting, oh's are icy blue, so she has a good mix!

Everyone in both sides of our family has blue eyes so it was pretty certain she would!

My 4yo was born with dark blue. She now has light green eyes just like her dad. My newborn also had dark blue so I'm interested if their gonna be blue or green. I have dark green eyes.

I had beautiful dark blue eyes until I was 5 years old. Then they finally changed to green. I hope your baby's eyes don't change, they are gorgeous!

My dd eyes look like your lo (can't tell from the profile pic though). So pretty! She's 11 months old so we'll see. I don't have any blue eyes on my side of the family, all very dark brown, even though our skin tones are all quite light. Dh and his mom have blue eyes, so I'm hoping they stay.

One of my nieces eyes changed from Blue to hazel when she was 4.

I worked with a lady whose eyes changed at puberty when all her hormones were changing.

I guess they can change at anytime.
