what are/ were your esentials. im daft and will go out and buy everything. help me save some pennies and share ...... what couldnt you live without.

So far we have a high chair ( OHs mum brought it before LO was born.)
and a blender

Iv not started yet but the HV ran a weaning class at our town hall last week they were selling wee weaning packs. You got a hand held blender a potato masher a tray 2 freeze wee portions of fruit/veg in and a cute wee monkey bowl and spoon set :) got all that for £5 and I'm thinking it might be a good idea 2 get a big plastic table cloth type thing 2 put down lol xx

I love the Annabel Karmel microwave steamer-we have a normal steamer but this is so much easier for doing small portions of veg quickly.

I would say Ice cube tray, hand blender and a muli xxx

what is a muli?
i think we are going to try tw , im too much of a nervous mummy to try baby led completely.
But i think we will end up tw with a few finger foods thrown in.

It's a manual device that grinds food into a puree. I know a blender can do this job, but it allows you to pass certain foods through, whilst retaining the stones / skins.

It almost like squishing food through a sieve, but much easier. Anabel Karmel mentions to use it a lot in her books and I find it really good xxx

High chair,
bibs
loads of weaning spoons,
plastic bowels
plastic plates
ice cube trays
freezer bags to put frozen food in and labels too. (I labelled what was in each bag and when it was made and gave it an 8 week frozen life for it to be used by). Handy for if anyone else decided to get lo's food ready.
blender
sieve

Little clippy boxes from Matalan or Wilkos
Ice cube trays
A Muli jobber
A shower curtain/ old sheet that you can chuck in the wash for under the chaor
All in one bibs (Poundland do them) xx

and a highchair but i feed him in his bouncy chair at the moment as helooks so tiddly in the highchair haha

Bumbo and splash mat, spoons - we are BLW so the shallow ones as we give Ollie a loaded spoon and he puts it in his mouth ( or ear/forehead etc :haha: but usually his mouth :) )

lots and lots of wipes

He is sitting unaided better now but I think while he is concentrating on eating the security offered by the bumbo is fab :)

Babette bibs-never stain and catch food.
Kitchen roll!
Milton wipes for the highchair!
Avent storage pots for snacks when out and about.
Small freezer packs for when out and about.

Flannel and wash at kitchen sink (ready for the attack afterwards!)
Dettol wipes
Bibs
Splash mat if you don't have mopable floors
