Your routines

Hi everyone!

Well i started to go with the flow since my last post and Zack seems to like being fed every 3 hours which is fine and im glad i stopped the 4hourly ones to figure this out!

Now that i know this im just wondering what everyone elses feeding times, routines for nights are... Just wondering as im trying to balance feeds before bed and bathtimes etc

So let me know what your routines are including night feeds etc

This is our routine: (at 11 weeks)

7am - wake and feed
8ish - bath
8.30am ish nap
10am feed
11.30ish nap
1pm feed
2.30pm nap
4pm feed
5.30pm nap
6.15ish wake up and gentle activity, nothing overstimulating
7pm into nightclothes and feed
7.45ish bed
10.30pm dream feed

No night feeds. We only do the bath in the morning because Ruby always has a meltdown afterwards which is worse at night.

Just to add to the above, it's not about clock watching, it's about getting a structure of feed, activity, sleep, and getting her to have the right amount of sleep during the day so she's not overtired.

thanks hun, i know what you mean about the clock watching, im definatley flexible but just trying to see when is a reasonable time to put him upstairs for bed, im not expecting him to sleep through at this age (great if he did though lol) at the moment im trying to get him into his bed for 8-8:30pm

yeah I think 8-8.30 is reasonable. Depends on what works for you when your baby's this young

At 12wks:

7.30-8am wakes up and started bottle by 8.30
9-9.30am - has a nap
12pm - next bottle
2pm-4pm - another nap
4pm - another bottle
7.30-8.30pm - a smaller bottle in this hour, a bath and bed
11-11.30pm - a very small bottle and that's it for the night.

3.5 months:

6am - (wide awake) feed
7am - fast asleep
10-11am - awake + feed
noon - 1-2oz top-up feed to help them sleep
3pm - feed
4pm - top up feed
4.30 ..probably another top up feed..
5..top up feed...a dn it just drags on until 7pm when it's bedtime.
they sleep between 10-12 hrs at night.
