Your TTC approach?

Oooh, that seems like good logic! Is grapefruit juice to help CF? I never seem to get the EWCM that everybody mentions, tmi but it tends to be abundant around the time of OV but it's never stretchy as everyone else describes. If I don't get a BFP this month I'm thinking of trying preseed but it's quite expensive!

On the prenatal topic, me and the OH are going to start using Pregnacare Conception/Wellman, I read loads of great reviews and if anything else, theyre obviously safe and have everything you need if you do get pregnant too.

Grapefruit juice helps to increase and thin out CM, much in the same way that Robitussin and Mucinex will.

I don't suppose thinning would make it more EW then? Im being referred to a fertility specialist within the next few months (past problems conceiving) so will ask her about the CF I thinks.

Have you noticed a difference yet?

I haven't tried grapefruit juice because I can't stand the taste, lol. Thinning the CM will make it stretchier. I use preseed if I don't have enough EWCM/

I'm going with the soy isoflavones this month as suggest in this thread! I found a really great thread in a different forum that had a lot of great information on when to start it at different times of you cd and how it can help achieve ovulation, etc. So thank you so much to who suggested it.

Someone had also asked about a prenatal vitamin. I'm doing a gummy prenatal from Wal-Mart (that you can also buy from Amazon) that I LOVE. I have a hard time swallowing pills so it makes it so much easier, plus its like eating candy. I'm also using pre-seed and the soft cups. I think someone asked about these, and I definitely recommend them. I think they feel a little big, but once they are in I don't feel them. I think the more you use them the easier it is to put them in and take them out, its nothing major.

Can anyone confirm the whole tea speculation? I've heard that its bad for you during pregnancy but good for you while ttc to help with cm? Didn't know what info anyone had on this.

There's a thread here about soy as well. As far as tea, I found this article helpful. https://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/herbaltea.html

I use a relaxed approach. If it happens, it happens *shrugs* Hopefully it happened this month! :D

Hi ladies...can I join in?!

Last cycle we used the cb smiley face opks and preseed (but not the recommended amount) and this time we're using the cb fertility monitor, preseed (more of it!), robitssun, soft cups and the SMEP.

I had a HSG last month and the tww after was awful (got loads of 'positive' lines which must have been evaps) so I'm trying to be more relaxed this time! We'll be away on holiday for the first week of it this month so it should hopefully go a bit quicker! Got my appointment for the HSG results when we get back when I think (if they don't find anything bad) they'll talk about starting me on clomid.

Anybody got any more tips?!

Have you tried soy? Its what I'm hearing is considered a "natural clomid". I'm trying it this month- along with nearly everything you are! :)

if you O anyway each month would you girls say its safe to take it?

Hey again ladies, wondering if anyone knows if it's a good idea to take Evening Primrose Oil with Preganacare Conception?
Just started my BBT Temping at (cd 19, 5dpo) and am already dumbfounded to find a fairly big dip in the 2 days I've been doing it. I do hope this stuff starts making some sense in the next few months!

I got a BFP our first cycle trying. We BDed every other day starting right after AF stopped, then two days in a row when I got a positive on an OPK, and we used a little preseed on the earlier days when I didn't have EWCM yet. Also I sat with my butt propped up on a pillow for at least a half hour after each BD. :haha:

But I don't know how much any of those things contributed... My mom got pregnant with both me and my brother in her first months of trying, so it may just run in the family!

I (according to opk's) O every month- but after I started charting I started thinking I wasn't ovulating even though I had an LH surge. I talked to my doctor who said that you can still get a positive opk and not ovulate. She said that I atleast need to be at a full 12 months of actively trying before she starts diagnostic testing to prescribe clomid, but told me to look into the soy isoflavones. I'm not taking a substantial amount of them, just 120 mg day 1-3 of them and then I'm bumping up to 160. I've read of some ladies taking a lot more. Here is some info that I found on a thread that was super helpful to me!
------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHEN should you take soy?
You take Soy Isoflavones, like Clomid, on either CD 1-5, 2-6, 3-7, 4-8 or 5-9.
If you take soy Isoflavones during the later time bracket, for example CD 5-9, you shall strengthen the egg that has already started growing producing a healthier egg. The earlier in your cycle you take It, the higher your chance of releasing multiple eggs but these eggs will not be as mature as the eggs grown from taking Soy later.
A lot of women will choose the middle cycle (3 -7) allowing time for a strong and healthy egg to develop without erasing the chance of a second egg being developed and released.

1-5 = You produce more eggs, and ovulate sooner, with a stronger ovulation.

2-6 = You produce more eggs than usual, but not as many as taking it 1-5. Eggs may be more mature, and ovulation will be slightly more strong than 1-5.

3-7 = The best of both worlds, a few more eggs, and all eggs will be strong & mature, and ovulation will be a lot stronger than 1-5.

4-8 = No more eggs will be produced, but the ones already there, will be matured alot more than usual, and ovulation will be very strong. Ovulation may only be brought forward a teeny bit.

5-9 = You'll have one very mature strong egg, from the ones you already produced on your own. Ovulation will either happen when it usually does, or a few days later, but your egg will be of great quality.

What DOSAGE should you take?

The dose is really up to you but you should always use the lowest amount that works for you.
With Clomid the starting dose is 50mg. Soy Isoflavones are said to be half the strength of Clomid, so it makes sense for the starting dose to be 100mg.
The trouble with 100mg of soy is that the capsules tend to come as 40mg. So you have a choice of starting at 80mg or 120mg.

I would recommend that if you know that you do ovulate without taking soy then you should start with 80mg.
And if you know that you don't usually ovulate you can start with 120mg.
Some women change the dose on different days. So they may start at 120mg for the first 3 days then give an extra boost for the last 2 days with 160mg.

cheers huni the info is great. I think if this month is a bust then i might try them next cycle. Good luck hope we both get our :bfp: soon

Many women take soy to hopefully imrpove the quality of their egss even when they ovulate regularly. Keepminmmind it could possible bring forward or delay ovulation. We have a soy thread on here that might be helpful for you.

Thanks! I'm 10dpo today which is 3 days longer than my last cycle. The B complex must be working! I plan to test on Friday if AF hasn't shown up by then.

FXd for you, too!!
