It's sweet, and you eat it as a dessert. Some people put whipped cream on top. I will find a recipe for you, if you'd like! I'm actually in the process of finding a carrot cake recipe for my SIL's birthday cake, so it wouldn't be any trouble.
Awesome! I am not sure how to convert everything to the metric system, though...
1 9” pie crust
1 ¾ cups canned or boiled mashed pumpkin
1 ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
2/3 cup packed light brown sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 ¼ teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer for two minutes. Pour mixture into prepared pie crust. Bake at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees F and bake for 50 additional minutes. If the crust begins to look too dark, cover only the crust with strips of aluminum foil. Pie is done when knife inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack, and then store in refrigerator.
