Hi!

Just wondering if anyone's knows how zara kids clothes come up size-wise? I've not bought lo any clothes from there before but the things look lovely and I'm going to the trafford centre on Sunday to get her come new clothes for autumn and could do without needing to take it all back as it's about 40 minutes away!

Oh and if anyone knows if it washes as well as next that would be much appreciated too!

Thankyou xxx

I find their kids clothes come up large, particularly girls dresses- they seem to be really wide! I can't get DD Zara dresses because to get the right length they end up being too wide with baggy arm holes. But tops and trousers are OK, I just buy a size smaller. She is in 9-12 Next clothes and 6-9 or 9-12 in Zara. DS is in 2-3 (sometimes 3-4) Next trousers and either 18-24 or 2-3 or Zara. They wash fine in my experience.

I find they are small! I have only used the baby clothes though. But they have definitely run smaller than other brands, Joni is only 9th centile but is in her actual age bracket there whereas at other places she's still in a younger age bracket. Kids might run different to the by section though, I don't know X

I think they're pretty standard size wise. Trousers are long on LO but he's extremely short.

Thankyou.....we seem to have quite a mixed opinion..I'm sure I'll work it out! :flower:

Thankyou all for your help...I'll just judge it on the look of it and keep my fingers crossed! Xx

Could you take your LO with you to check sizes? It's very child friendly at the Trafford Centre. We sometimes treat LO to one of those rented toddler car-buggies and it keeps him happy for hours!

I find them a bit small n some things. My little one is in 2-3 in Zara and they fit well but not much room for growth!

This thread has made me laugh since you have had every response possible, doesn't make life easy does it! Sorry we all couldn't agree more haha. xx

This is exactly my experience too, even down to my DD being on the 9th percentile. Zara is the only brand she wears where she fits her actual age bracket but as MrsPear says, there may be a difference between babywear and kidswear.

I think I might take a few bits that she already has just to see how they measure up... I'm not going to take lo, only reason being I've not seen my mum for a good few weeks and really want a proper catch up with her and lo hates going round shops (even in the car buggys- tried that one in desperation!) so I just end up getting stressed because she's getting fed up.....

Lol.... It's funny, I said exactly the same to hubby...last night I had pretty much every possible answer! :haha: thankyou all though, I do appreciate your help xxx :flower:

I find them to be OK personally! I think your best bet is to just order some bits online and try them on. If they are too big/small- return them for the size up or down!

They fit true to size for us. But i think next is hugely over sized. Poppy is 18-24 in next but 2-3 in zara. Love zara btw there winter coats are lovely! and it washes really well. We have rather alot of zara stuff

Thanks for the replies on this thread... We went yesterday....I'd made a huge list of things that I wanted to get that I'd seen on the website and I got there and they hardly had anything!!! :dohh:

The girl/ toddler bit was only tiny and they hardly had anything in her size but the few bits I did manage to get were lovely...... I nearly went and ordered the rest off the site when I got in but I nipped into next when I was there and got loads of other stuff x

I found some of the tops were quite small size wise but the jumpers I got were probably about average, I looked at the leggings but lo's got quite long legs and looking at them they would have been like 3/4 trousers!!

I find they come up really small Isabelle outgrew their 24-36 months clothes just after her 1st birthday.. She is quite tall for her age though but weight wise she is average x

Really? Wow...they must be really small sizing...... Funny how places can differ so much.... I really wish they'd be consistent. Even in next I find the odd thing completely different size wise than all the rest

I think the kids sizes are average their. I love zara so much I get loads of the boys clothes from their they last quite well too x

I bought my LO a few bits last week and have found they have come up quite small
