1 negative test and 1 positive?

Last month I had two separate occasions where I bled during the month. If you are going off the first day I bled I am almost a week late, if you are going off the second bleeding my period isn't due for another 3 days. I have had very very light spotting during my "expectant" period, and been having unusual backaches and cramps and decided to take a pregnancy test. After awhile it turned out to be positive, this morning I took another and it was negative. Not only negative but I started to spot a little more, which stopped in about an hour. Is it possible to have breakthrough bleeding and still have a negative result? Or is this pre-menstrual?

You say your got a positive after awhile ? How long ? on the test it will give the recommended time on read results like ; don't read test after 5 mintues stuff like that so if your following directions then you should be fine there are also chemical pregnancies. Good Luck
