1 or 2 years of pre-school?

Have you found better results with 2 years of pre-school against only 1? I just need opinions on it. Thank you!

Daisy started playschool September 2012 and will do 2 years before starting school september 2014 and she is doing brilliantly and has so many friends now. I cant believe she has nearly finished her first year there. Will be starting our son in April so he'll do just over 2 years. x

I started the boys in April - they will get one year and one term. It didnt even occur to me to start them sooner their pre-school is very schooly and they have settled very quickly (never been in childcare of any kind) so I know the time was right. They go two mornings a week ATM and will start every morning from September x

What do you mean by 'results' I wasn't looking for any kind of result really just felt it would be good for them to build up to being at school all day every day gradually x

Madi will only have gone for a year. She loves it so much, but i was hesitant to let her go any sooner. As i feel they have their whole lives to go to school.
I wanted her to go to socialise with other children, and make trusted relationships with people who wernt me or my family, and it has done exactly what i had hoped.

She is more than ready for school... :)

F starts in September for two mornings a week, 3 hours each. The following year he will do three mornings a week, 3 hours each. He is extremely shy so I think the socialization will be good for him, but other than that, it wouldn't bother me if he only had one year. I don't think you'd find that the results would be that different for one year vs two.

By the time Earl goes to school he'll have been in a pre-school environment nearly 3 years!

He started the November after he turned 2 and will finish the July just before he turns 5 (october baby).

When he first started he was only doing 1 morning a week, then built up to 1 full day, now he does 2 full days. He's moving pre-schools in September and will probably do 3/4 mornings a week there.

Here school starts way earlier. My son did 1 year of toddler preschool starting when he was 1yr 9mo, then this year he did regular preschool (5 mornings a week for 2.5h). He'll be starting full day school in September when he's 3yrs 9mo. The toddler preschool wasn't really preschool though - just 2 mornings a week for 2.5h.

Paige starts preschool in March 2014 and starts primart school in August 2015. So she will have had a full year plus a term. This is all she could get as she will be one of the youngest in her school class
