10 month old has started to react badly to milk

about a week ago lily started to have really runny poo's, we thought she had a stomach bug as there is one going round our family after a few days it hadn't cleared up so we cut all of her milk feeds out for 24hrs at the advice of nhs direct, she got a little better however as soon as we gave her milk she got worse again! any ideas why she suddenly is reacting badly to her formula? we're going the docs at 10 but was wondering if anyone had experienced this before

She may have got the bug that was going round and it could have caused temperary lactose intolerance? I think pro biotics are meant to help the gut readjust?
