Aww hunny I'm sorry to say it sounds like a mmc to me too

With my 2nd pregnancy I had a scan at 8wks 4 days and baby had healthy strong heartbeat, was told less than 5% chance of loss, then 2 days before my 12 week scan I started bleeding, had another US and baby had passed at just over 9 weeks.. I still had all the symptoms from the 1st scan right up until I started spotting.. I passed the baby myself then at home just hrs before my D&C ...It was so heartbreaking after seeing the baby so alive at 8 weeks.. luckily I never saw the US of the angel baby.

Massive hugs and if its any consolation, I'm due again now and they say you are a lot less likely to have 2 MMC in a row

Hi ladies,

today was my first prenatal appointment. The dr. firdt did the vaginal ultr sound and could only see the sac, no baby, no heart beat? So she then did the normal ultra sound on my belly and same thing? Just the sac with nothing in it? She ordered another ultra sound for me in two hours with a specialist. So DH and i are sitting here wondering what this can mean?

Help please? is there still a chance or is this a mc?

That happened to my best friend recently. Now she is 5 months on and everything is fine.

well talk about a roller coaster, I got my HCG levels back today from Tuesday and they are 27,179! That is super high, they said that could range from a 6 week to 15 week pregnancy. I am not geeting my hpes up or anything but the Dr. is running my levels again today to see if they are continuing to go up or if they go down. If they are still going up she wants to do another ultrasound in a week. If they are down, I will start the medication to induce/terminate.

This is weird that my levels are so hihg especially if they said the baby died at 6 weeks? any thoughts?

If it's a MMC your body will continue to make hcg until it realizes you no longer are pregnant anymore. When I went through this hcg was in the 20,000 as well and was told I had a mmc blighted ovum which made my body realize that it was no longer pregnant and a week later I passed the empty sac. Five days after my hcg was taken levels went down to 10,000 and kept going down until near 0. So sadly I can't offer much advice. Hopefully they are still going up to get you anotehr u/s and hopefully there is something there, but just prepare yourself for the worse.
