I could just be a crazy father to be that worries to much but me and my wife had 2 miscarriages within this past yr we went to reproductive specialists after 2nd one now were back at reg ob for the rest of the way . We heard heartbeat 165-170 on outside doppler cause office ultrasound machine didn't have built in one. Everything measured as it should but no yolk sack week prior there was one and what we thought was a cord before I got a chance to ask her about it she was called for an er delivery. My question here is this common or maybe she didn't see it cause see don't usually do it. Any input would be great. Next scheduled ultrasound is dec 22 with the ultrasound department

At 10 weeks the placenta takes over looking after the baby so my understanding is baby no longer needs yolk sac and has used it all up :) so I think that is normal I never remember seeing it at 10 weeks myself on my scans :flower:https://www.babygaga.com/calendar/pregnancy/week-10 baby gaga do excellent videos from conception to birth worth a watch

you should look in to getting each week progress emailed to you say you enjoy seeing what's happening to your little baby

good luck and congrats :flower:

Pretty sure it disappears around that mark x

Yolk sac starts disappearing in the 9 week mark. Not surprising that her 10 week scan didn't show it. Congrats!

My wife had her 11 week scan baby measured 11weeks 5 days with a heart rate of 156 bpm. That worried me a little since the last time we heard it on doppler it was between 160 and 170 but they said its supposed to drop down and even out. Anybody have thoughts on this

Your baby's heart rate will fluctuate fairly widely in utero. It will steadily decease and as long as the drop isn't significant (going from 130-170 to 60-100) then there isn't anything to be concerned about.

Heart beat is normal. The first time out babys hb was 167. It has since been 150,154 and it was 158 today (quite active...kicking and punching at the doppler...)

I was told it would reach 175-185 then drop to its normal which would be like 130-165 and sure enough at 9 weeks it was 175 and at 11 it was 155-165 (she could use the measure thing) they are suppose to level out like you said!

That's totally normal my little boy had a hb of 130-140
This time I'm having a little girl her heartbeat is always 150-160
They all vary but honestly that's a good heartbeat don't worry :) sounds like everything is going well :)
