Just curious.. did you have light bleeding or just spotting? The reason I ask is because I got faint positives on a couple different tests right before af showed and now I'm having a really unusual period. This now gives me hope

Sorry I replied to the other thread too, just ignore. It looks positive-congrats!! Just go to the doc and get a blood test to confirm. So much better when things are clarified through bloods.

I got a faint BFP before AF, bled for 4 days (cramps, red blood and all) Was told by Dr I was miscarrying or chemical pregnancy. I took another test a few days after I started bleeding, test line got darker and darker... As for me, I am still pregnant! Baby is doing fine

Janna, did they do 1 or 2 tests on you? with HCG doubling every day or so it's not very good for a doc telling someone they're m/cing if they haven't done the second bloods. Should be shot & pissed on!

When the Dr told me that, I was in the ER, so early along that I hadn't even seen my OB yet. He told me I was miscarrying at that point because my HCG level was so low (30) They scheduled me to come back in two days to make sure the level went back to 0. I was devastated. When I went back, and ever since, my HCG has been doubling perfectly.

Aww congratulations to you Jenna Im just so paranoid. I miscarried 7 and a half weeks ago. Got what I thought was my af 2 weeks later and hpts were negative took ovulation test on 14th. bdd that night and now this Cycles are 35 days long so would be due af in 4 days now Im so scared this is her but lines have got stronger since friday was wondering if the blood that got on the test gave it the positive line incase the blood was leftover from mc an had hcg in it. Soooo scared to go docs x

I had an unbelievably light positive. Looked grey even.
Next day I had brown spotting. That continued for 4 days.
Still light bfpS. But they got darker!! still preggo and am due in 4 weeks good luck Hun!

Stazz...I know that you said that you're scared to see your doctor, but you really need bloods, b/c you might need progesterone supplements.

I actually didn't really believe (well, I thought it was RARE) that women could get their "periods" while pregnant. Well, a friend of mine had hers--medium/heavy flow, for five days, and is still pregnant in late second tri!

So please get some bloods done. Your test looks great. I did bleed brown (and had two BAD red bleeds) with my son. I bled/spotted for TEN weeks--every single day. It was hell, to say the least (and that's a strong word for me to use, b/c I don't curse). Anyway, he's a bouncing little 8 month old now!

Thanks for all ur support ladies. Doc said he HAD to tell me that this is possible miscarriage and will test me in 2 weeks to see where were at. 2ww turned into 4 Im gutted but the dpcs hpt was much stronger so its a waiting game now I guess x

Jenna - I am hoping I'm in the same situation as you were...I'm about 4 1/2 - 5 weeks and had some brown spotting the same day I got my BFP, so I had my hcg tested Monday and it was only 31, progesterone was 7.6 (got put on progesterone capsules right away, a few days prior actually). Tested again today, and it had more than doubled to 119, which was great. They didn't test progesterone for some reason. But still these numbers are so low I've practically resigned myself to a miscarriage like I had last year. Thanks for giving me a little bit of hope!

From what I have read, if you are miscarrying, your level will either stay the same for a short while or drop. I don't think your level will go up. Are you still bleeding?

Im still bleeding yes. Obviously being only 4 weeks 4 days I dont think there would be clots but this is just the sameas mu af really just a bit more watery sorry tmi and a bit stringy. Im still thinkin positive an I dont know why when Ive already been told but they wont measure hcg levels til I go back in 2 weeks so Im relying on hpts atm x

The darker the line gets, the more hcg it is detecting. So if you keep getting darker lines, you are going in a positive direction. I can't believe you have to wait 2 weeks to get your hcg done again! Agonizing. I'm just waiting til Monday and I'm a mess!
